These bowls are super cute and terrific for hot items. No more burning your hands! They're big enough to hold a large can of soup and are very easy to clean. I love them!

I love these bowls. I bought these for French Onion Soup. I read a post about the hole in the handle. This is correct. This allows the handle to cool faster than the bowl for user handling. I also see where the hole poses a problem with the dishwasher. This is easily solved. After the dishwasher I put the bowls in the oven at 350° for an hour which boiled off any water in the handle. After all don't we put clothes in the dryer after the washing machine? I highly recommend these bows for French Onion Soup or any other soup.

Bought these for my mom for Christmas. She loves them and so do I! I give them only 4 stars because there is a small hole on the side that gets water inside when washed but I filled it with E5000 glue I had laying around and it's not a problem anymore.

I needed French Onion Soup bowls and thought these would work. They are super large and the handles are awkward to use and store. The cheese wouldn't stay up on the edge like my old ones did. Since I had already recycled the boxes, I ended up giving them to the local Savers and found others that were 4 oz. smaller and the shape was more conducive to the cheese sticking to the bowl rim and staying up on the bread and the handles were more user friendly. The bowls could be stored in half the space.

A nice bowl for soups that you have heated and pour in to. Not too good for French onion soup, which is what I bought them for, if you broil to brown the cheese. The handle gets too hot to hold. They look great though. Very heavy.
