These are thick and warm, not as dense as Darn Tough mountaineering socks, which are also great, but Darn Tough socks fit like compression socks on large calves. Be forewarned, these will be like leggings for men if you have thin legs. 12/1/20 I own 6 pair of these now, they are fabulous, warm socks. They seem to get even better with washing. I don't baby these things either, standard wash, dry on high. 2/15/22 Now own 8 pair of these great socks and it's hard to tell the difference between the pair I ordered last month and the socks I ordered in 2020. I wear these every day because they are so comfortable, I haven't had any other sock ever that is as durable as these, no holes, no sign of wear. Amazingly great socks, thanks Carolina Hosiery. Best socks ever
I spend a lot of time outside in inclement weather and these are the warmest socks I've ever used. I also love the fact you don't need Under Armor type base layers on your legs.

Long socks that stay up
These are my husband’s winter go to boot socks. Thick, warm, long and they stay up!

Awesome
Warm, perfect for my old knees. Goes up pretty high so they work as intended and are made well. Also made in the USA, which is a define plus. I ended up buying three more!

Very warm, but breathable. Super comfy - love these!
Comfortable, warm, but still breathable. My only area of concern is that there is some minor elastic damage already, but I've gotten plenty of use out of these, and it's not yet at all affecting the fit.

Great socks even if you don’t wade in cold water
I now have eight pairs of these socks. I bought two pairs ,then bought another two pairs and yesterday receive four more pairs. I have had a lot of complements and not one negative one. I saw another guy, yesterday that had these on with Crocs. May even be starting a trend. They are manly looking. Warm and an excellent value.
