Awesome vendor, Awesome motor!
I did a lot of research before I bought my Bafang BBSHD kit (120mm) and the reason I bought from this vendor was the price and the ability to customize my kit to the exact components I wanted. I specifically wanted the 120mm bottom bracket model (for my Mongoose Dolomite fat bike), the 42-tooth chain ring, and the 500c display. The seller made it easy to order all on their amazon page at a great price and shipping was only $10. Shipping (via DHL) took 9 days to reach me from China and I could track my package internationally every step of the way. Seller gets 5 stars from me!The kit from Bafang was very good. Everything was packaged securely and arrived in perfect condition. It even came with a bonus headlight (special offer from vendor)! I had already watched numerous videos on how to install everything, so I was ready for the install and did not need instructions. There are no printed instructions or owner’s manual, but they do give you a sheet with barcodes to scan that link to YouTube videos on how to install everything. It would be nice if it included the required wrench and gearshift sensor, but purchasing these items separately seems to be the norm for all vendors. My only real gripe is the speed sensor magnet that goes on the spokes. The screw to tighten these down looks like a torx type, but it is not. It has the little nipple in the middle that makes it a security screw head. I am a handy person and have a lot of tools, but seriously, who would have this kind of specialized bit? I was lucky and found a screw that would work in my spare parts bin, but I am sure there are some users who would have to buy the bits or replace the screw from the hardware store. I also needed to customize my kit to fit my bike a bit. I had to shorten one of the screws and spacers, but I expected this type of thing from a DIY kit such as this. I also was not able to use the 42-tooth chainring that came with the kit and ended up buying the eclipse 42-tooth model from Luna Cycle. This was because I needed the maximum amount of offset to get the chain line straight. I really liked the break levers, which were solid and longer than the ones on my bike. I cannot rate the battery because I purchased mine from another vendor. Overall, I am very satisfied with this system and happy I purchased this item. I am able to cruise along at 23mph on flat ground in fourth gear and I am a very heavy rider. I will include some pictures ASAP. Wayne.

Great power, but a few flaws in manufacturing that could be detrimental someday...
First thing I noticed in installation is one of the screws that mounts to the bike wouldn't fit properly without a bit of brute force because the screw hole was machined too close to the motor, and I couldn't just redrilla new hole, so that was sad.... it might strip and fail and possibly even fall off in the future. Hopefully this company will be helpful to me within the next year of warranty if that happens! Secondly, it doesn't come with a very vital installation tool which includes an external bottom bracket wrench on one side and a lock ring spanner wrench on the other. I tried to mcgyvver this and improvise to tighten it on, but in the matter of 2 miles of riding, it is extremely loose and bangs up against the frame every time I throttle above level 2. Thirdly, the speedometer magnet comes with a screw that is one of those star screws with a pin hole in the middle... WHO HAS THOSE??? So I can't tighten it on properly without using some form of pliers or replacing the screw. So until I figure that out, its going to move and blow off in the wind, and once that's not reading properly anymore, the pedal assist feature doesn't work accurately either, because it relies on the speedometer primarily (no torque sensor.... yet mwahahaha)Issue number 4, is on the display: The 500c color display doesn't show the wattage meter properly at all... it sometimes shows like 26 watts being used when I'm full throttling, and sometimes 1200 watts... there's no real middle ground. Hopefully that isn't a wattage regulator problem and it's burning out my motor? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT IS!!!All in all, these were really the only issues I've had. I think once I properly put the speedometer magnet in a permanent place, and get the tool (in a week or two because it ships slowwwww) to tighten the entire motor down to the frame, hopefully it will all work great and flawless! The only other thing that is concerning is it only seems to really pedal assist me up to 10 mph on level 1,2 and 3, and then only up to about 20mph on 4, and 5... I doubt this is normal? Hopefully this isn't a defect! Company who reviews this, please let me know if it is a defect so I can get it fixed before something worse happens! On the bright side, DANG THIS GOES FAST ON FULL LEVEL 5 THROTTLE! I clocked a top speed of about 33mph!

Takes the suck out of riding a bike uphill
Overall I am impressed with this ebike kit after 500 miles. I attached it (120mm model) to my Motobecane Lurch fat bike and it mounts easily enough though I did have to buy a Luna offset 44t crank to straighten out the chainline. The hydraulic brake sensors are useless so I just unplugged them. I live in the Rockies and my bar mitts would knock them askew just far enough that they would shut off power randomly. I wish the connectors were a bit more weatherproof and that the battery teminal faced down or had a cover so that snow did not accumulate in it when I bring the battery inside. The power settings are a little wonky. on the 1-9 scale, settings 1 and 2 barely overcome the motor's resistance so 3 is about as low as I have it set. I ride my bike far more than I drive and it is super convenient to ride it to the ski resorts and to trailheads. This means in covid times that I don't need to ride the bus and I always get upfront parking! I am curious to see how long this works for.

Dont think, just do it!
I bought this from Junstar-EU and I have to say their customer service is 10/10. I requested the hydraulic brake sensors instead of the normal brakes and very promptly (24hrs) received a reply confirming that these would be sent. I enquired a out the bike I was thinking of converting and Junstar agreed to send me a few extra bits like washers etc, which while not expensive in themselves certainly add a touch of great customer service.I have bought the kit to convert a Trek dual sport 2, a 2020 model. A few adjustments had to be made to the bike but it's nothing that a bit of research and YouTube cant help with. By adjustments I dont mean anything particularly technical so for those who are thinking of converting their first bike I can also recommend this bike. The kit works perfectly so far and I've had no issues. I requested the 500c display and its relatively compact but still very easy to use with gloves on and doesnt give the impression that it's an e-bike display, more like an odometer or speedometer.I requested the 52V 14Ah battery I've been using it on pedal assist 5 as I like to get from A to B quite quickly, I've also been combining that with throttle use and together I get around 15-20 miles. If I were to use a lesser pedal assist then i would get more mileage.Be aware that the company will send you the battery separately from the e-kit, or atleast they did for me. I think it has to do with the transport of a potentially dangerous item. So dont be alarmed when you receive the e-kit on it's own the battery is more than likely on it's way. I messaged Junstar about this and they very quickly got back to me and also gave me the DPD tracking number for the battery.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, great for those who want a bit more speed in their commute or for the occasional uber eats delivery rider like myself.Well done Junstar would definitely purchase again when converting another bike!RECOMMENDED!

Fantastic
I would scoop out a kidney with a spoon in order to get another one of these if I get another bike for the misses. If you don't know anything about bikes then it could take a whole day to fully set up.If you're experienced then a couple hours at most. You must have a bike tool set.Once set up you should cable tidy it neatly so cables can not get caught.I would suggest buying a new chain and maybe some new gears if your bike is old because the power and speed this puts out is immense.I used to walk to work and it took me 27 minutes if I walked fast.A bus on a good day would be 20 minutes, 35 on a bad day. With a push bike around 15 minutes. With this motor, under 7 minutes. When you push that thumb throttle the bike takes off.The motor and battery will add a lot of weight onto your bike. So think about that if you carry your bike up stairs. The set is expensive, but I believe it's worth every single penny. In less than 18 months the motor would have paid for itself from the money I have saved by not using public transport.

Best ebike kit strong, reliable and all rounder.
The media could not be loaded. I had to look around a long time before I decide to purchase also let's be clear also I'm no mechanic but most of the job is real easy to install you may need assistance removing parts on the bike to prepare for installation. If you have no clue you can watch YouTube but since I got this kit I never looked back and so far I have over 120 miles on the clock it's insane piece of high quality kit it does have limits aka your battery defines it's all really and keeping a close eye following instructions on how to use will allow you to sleep at night with no issues. Other than that 52v battery does the job more than you could ever need unless you really want to safe guard get another battery then you can be out on your bike for hours and you are pretty much laughing the options are endless but for now ones enough for me I barely charge it that often having a 52v I think it's 17.5ah, I can charge it once every 2 weeks and that's using it full blast and doing a maximum of 10-15 miles once a day and having 50% battery left over surely you could get more miles on it every two weeks on lowest assist mode and still be traveling easy no stress but expect to use your brakes more often if living in the city, but seriously don't wait to buy a fully built over priced ebike that takes months to be built and delivered any old bike will do I have down hill MTB and it does the job for me but only problem is to mount the battery so far I mount it on my rear rack and I don't like the weight distribution and planning to move it eventually. Don't mind the electrical tape. ;) Also just thought I should also say the hydraulic brake sensor did come a few days after late but not a problem and the service via email to Junstar-EU are amazing the most helpful and attentive people I've ever had dealings with big shout out to them for all the service provided really can't thank Junstar-EU enough really pleased with my order top notch!

Very impressed! Very happy!
If you’re looking for a DIY ebike kit, look no further! The Bafang BBSHD kit is absolutely awesome and relatively easy to fit. You’ll need some basic bike tools and some basic bike maintenance knowledge. The kit arrived in two parts. The battery came within a week of ordering and the rest of the kit arrived three weeks later. Great comms from the seller too. I’ve now done 100+ miles and I’m seriously impressed. The motor performance is remarkable. Just be careful. It’s powerful!
