Quiet, easy to see water and no fire hazard
I am very happy with this dehumidifier. It is very quiet and works really well on my boat.It does not use a whole lot of power. And because i'm on a boat that's very important. The water tank is very easy to see.How much water is in there? And also to empty, there is no compressor to present a fire hazard which being on a boat is very, very important.I think it works just as well as more expensive compressor units. It looks really nice. It's small enough to sit on a counter and i'm very pleased with it

Very weak then dies
Stopped working immediately at 1 year warranty end. Bought another replacement. Finally disappointed with how little water this pulls from the air (like 1 cup of water after running all day in a very humid small apartment) so I bought a more expensive unit by GE which works great & pulls 10 times as much water in same apartment. You get what you pay for

Works Great
Tried a few of these and most were really terrible and priced about the same. Not only is this not cheaply manufactured outside of the USA it costs about the same and has a larger capacity than others in the same price range. When compared to the typical white and purple one you can find, this pulled in about 33% - 50% more water per day. Huge difference over time. I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Emits high-pitched tone.
When on high level, quite loud and emits high-pitched tone. Works alright but not impressed with how much moisture it's pulling from the air.

The humidty level is down to normal in my basement!!!
I think this unit is good for my size of house. I have maybe 850 square feet. In 24 hours I should empty twice with this very rainy season. I do once a day. I emptied today after a bad storm and I was back to 70 humidity. Not the machines fault, by no means. I didn't empty in the morning and we are pretty much flooded in areas in my town. I AM VERY PLEASED by this unit. I like the digital reading of the humidity level. Easy to empty water. Automatic shutoff has been GREAT!!

WTF? Never will buy again. Received item used/Return authorization inside box? ITEM RETURNED.
This is really disappointing and is really upsetting to me. This is was advertised as a NEW item, however, what I ended up getting was a return. I took pictures to show what was in the box as soon as I opened it. The unit was slightly dusty and in the unmarked box with some bubble wrap and a return slip. On the back of the slip, had something that looked like a homework assignment with the name Stephanie on it?? Wtf?(provided for your reading pleasure). That was all in the box. BTW my name is not Stephanie (Also, nothing against Stephanie - it’s a lovely name). Regardless, I tried to used the unit and it doesn’t seem like it works. I’ve had it in my bathroom running for the past day where the temperature is 75 and humidity is above 60%. There are no traces of water in the tank. I have it on high and it is also a little louder than I expected. Overall, I’m returning this and thought to at least try it out since I have it in my possession. This has been the first time Amazon has failed me and first time ordering from this company. I really don’t know who is at fault for this, however, I will not re-purchase this dehumidifier nor, buy from this company again. I will look elsewhere. But seriously... wtf? What kind of business practices is this? I strongly don’t recommend this company or product.

It Is What It Is
This is a comparatively low cost alternative. It does pull water out of the air though it's efficiency is a bit suspect. Last night I left it on all night in 80-90% humidity. I expected to find a bit more in the reservoir. Also waking up the air was still a bit damp. The room is a typically sized bed room with space for a queen sized bed. I'm not sure of the actual square footage but it's not a large room. And waking up there still was a bit of dampness in the air. If I were to do it again, I'd look for one that you can set the level of humidity you want in the room. In addition I'd look for db noise ratings as the fan is a bit loud even on low. The noise would be acceptable if this model were a bit more efficient.

Good for a very small bathroom. Took humidity from a fairly constant 75-80% down to mid 50s, low 60's. Used after each shower, 4 or 8 hr timer, easy to empty. Presently emptying it once a week. Update. February 2022 Worked well enough x 4.5 months. then sudden stopped collecting water. Frustrating.

Bought this through Amazon because Crane has a generally good reputation. Did not need to use it right away and when I did use it it does not work. Read the brochure and it states that this product only has a warranty if purchased and used in the USA. No mention of this when I bought it. Not happy
