A fairly thorough review, but lacks some of the important details of the expenses and problems involved in owning such a car. A very intertaining read for thos intereseted in this marque.

The information in this book is exceptional if you're considering buying a Jaguar XK8.

Excellent simple source of vital information for potential buyers. Helped to highlight the most important aspects for the potential buyer. Will still need a professional to check out the finer details. However this book is great for the amateur enthusiast to get comfortable with what matches their desires and what to look out for.

This compact but comprehensive little book is a very accurate analysis of the XK8, and is an excellent guide to purchasing a used one. As I shopped for a used XK8, found Mr. Thorley to be dead-on accurate regarding the potential problems look out for, the model variations and market outlook. He also gives a great thumbnail history of the car. I recommend it highly to anyone shopping for a used XK8 or XKR. By the way- it's also a very pleasant read.

It doesn't cost much but then it doesn't give much info. Full of tips like "look for body damage" or "look for matched tires". Geared more to a first time buyer than someone looking for specific problem areas on vintage Jags.

I used the information in this book to help me select a good XK8 convertible. It is a good guide for anyone seeking a decent used XK8.

Somewhat general but helpful

I didn't feel like there was very much insight into the XKR. This book is small and the information is small. For the money I expected more. There are some useful bits, but not nearly enough. Save your money and research the Jaguar XKR elsewhere.

A while ago I was looking to buy an XKR. Bought this, hoping it would make me see reason. Failed. Just increased my lust for one of these fabulous cars. The only thing that stopped me buying one was having to replace my daily driver which died at the same time as I was looking. I needed a big estate, which this isn't. One day....
