I’ve bought 3 of these. They are steady and solid when I grab a paper towel. They stay upright. They are durable, pretty and functional.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this paper towel holder as it’s so sturdy that you can use it with one hand without tipping it over! Many times you have an item in one hand you want to wrap the towel around and don’t want to put it down in order to grab the towel and this is great. You just pull it off with great ease. We also use it at the dining table when we’re having finger food that is messy and you can just grab a towel to wipe up. And it’s really handy when you have an accidental spill as it’s easy to grab how many towels you need to mop up the mess.

I now own six paper towel holders. Two are under-the-cabinet models in the kitchen, one near each sink, and three countertop models -- one near the stove, one in each bathroom for quick clean-ups, and this one will go on my kitchen island. Although my other countertop holders have "weighty" bases, this one surpasses them all quality-wise and weight-wise, and for the non-slip base and unique twisted inner core that prevents the roll from unraveling as you pull a towel. I have always preferred to use paper towels over dish cloths, and I buy Viva Signature Cloth Choose-A-Sheet by the case. I tested pulling them from different angles on this holder. Unlike Bounty, Costco and other brands of paper towels that seem to be loosely wrapped around the inner cardboard core and somewhat sloppy by hanging loosely, Viva Signature Cloth is more tightly wrapped. Therefore, the towels perfectly tore off at the perforation, which is important when you need to pull one quickly. I had one old roll of Bounty paper towels in the garage and tested it on this holder as well. I noticed that I needed to consciously pull slowly because when I did it quickly, I pulled more than I wanted. I believe that is the fault of that brand and not this holder, which I highly recommend. This holder deserves five stars.

Nice unit, kind of pricey.

I didn’t expect to have strong opinions about a paper towel holder, but this OXO Good Grips model completely won me over. Loading a new roll is effortless—the gripping arm makes it quick and frustration-free, even with larger or thicker paper towel rolls. Once loaded, the real magic is in the weighted base, which stays firmly in place when pulling a sheet. I can easily tear towels off cleanly at the seam with one hand, something most countertop holders fail to do well. The design feels thoughtful and well engineered, exactly what I’ve come to expect from OXO products. It looks good on the counter, works smoothly every time, and doesn’t slide around during use. This is one of those small kitchen upgrades that quietly makes daily tasks easier. I’d absolutely buy it again and recommend it without hesitation.

The OXO paper towel holder is a really smart helper for your kitchen. When I got it, I just took it out of the box, and it was ready to use. No need to put it together! That was nice. This holder is super steady. It has a heavy bottom that won't let it fall over, even if you pull hard. The edge at the bottom also has little bumps that keep the paper towel roll from unrolling by itself. It holds all my paper towel rolls, even the big ones, and the ones where you pick the size. It's easy to get a paper towel with just one hand. You just pull, and it tears off nicely. There's a little knob on top to pick it up and carry it. I wish the knob was a tiny bit bigger for my hand, but it still works great. The holder looks good too, because it's made of shiny silver stuff. I have five paper towel holders at home, but this one is the best! It got the main spot on my kitchen island. OXO did a super job with this one!

I love this paper towel holder. It’s sturdy and the rubber bottom keeps it in place to pull the amount of paper towels you need without tearing or tumbling over. Best product!!!!

値は張りますが、重厚感があり安定してペーパーを巻き取る事ができます。 良い商品を購入して永く大切に使いたい人にはピッタリな商品です。 コストコで購入したホルダー(2,000円位？)からの買い替えでしたが、最初からコレを購入しておけば良かったと正直な感想です。
