MettlerSilk Finish Thread Kit with 28 Reels by Mettler

I've purchased Mettler threads individually before but had not seen the full range of colors in one kit. These colors are clean and saturated. They are 50wt which makes them ideal for piecing quilt blocks and general sewing where you need cotton thread. I added the thread weight because it's not in the description.

I love Mettler thread. It doesn’t link up my machine as fast as the other brands. This arrived in just 2 days and the colors are perfect for many projects. I usually buy the larger spools but wanted to try some basic color I don’t usually use. It’s nice to have this range. If you are looking for neutral or dark colors this is perfect. Hoping to find a pastel pack too.

There was a lot of lint in my sewing machine after using this thread. Spools ran out quickly. I don't know what all the hype is with Mettler thread. I was not impressed at all.

I wanted a selection of colors for my sewing and mending kit, and this set of high quality thread by Mettler was not that much more expensive that the cheap Chinese knockoffs that are so frustrating to use. Mettler thread is a joy to sew with, and totally worth the extra money.

I bought this set for my hand applique but this thread (50wt) is also suitable for machine sewing. The thread is strong and most important ----- it does not produce a lot of lint. This is an indication of high quality.

This thread is my favorite for English Paper Piecing and the price is such a great deal.

I’m using this thread for English paper piecing and it’s great. It’s a three ply thread and with a thread conditioner does not knot or break easily.

Variety of colors of thread for general sewing projects
