Battery Cable Lug Crimper - Hammer Crimping Tool with Storage Pouch

I usually use a hydraulic hand crimping tool. But become a chore to get it find the die etc. figured I would try this. I was floored did a lug on 2/0 hit a few times with a 20oz hammer. Perfect I couldn’t pull it out..

This thing worked great making some 4 gauge cables and then I made some 2 gauge and it worked just as well. Nice and heavy, makes for easy use.

cheaper than a real crimper. fine for small home projects.

Using it to crimp 4/0 battery terminals. I have used it on about 10 terminals so far and it is holding up just fine. Others who said the little pin that holds it together broke may be happy to know that it is now a steel roll pin so breakage is eliminated. Make sure you have it on a real solid surface before hitting with your hammer! You will need 3 or 4 solid hits to get a good crimp.
