This is a nightmare to calibrate, and it won't stay calibrated. Also, I have calibration solution at 7.00. However, this only calibrates at 6.86 and 4.01, so you need to continually buy the powder. I love the idea of it. But for now I still need to use my 9 dollar one that calibrates with a screwdriver instead of electronically. If I get my question answered about how to keep it calibrated for longer than 30 seconds and it works I can change this, but for now just one star. Update. The seller did not give up. I returned it, got a refund. They sent a new one anyway and explained the other one really was not working, then helped me with the calibration of this one. At no point did they ask me to change my review. This seller has integrity,

I ordered this pH meter because the pH measurement for our pool and spa using liquid chemicals is cumbersome and requires consumables. Is that color more pink or more orange? Do I need to this up to the light to be accurate? Should I be reading in outside daylight or inside? How much does being slightly over or under that line on the vial make a difference?Why fumble around counting drops into a vial, or buying expensive indicator strips, and attempting to compare colors with a too easily misread chart?We took dual readings for a week using both the pH meter and using our traditional liquid pool chemistry. The meter was consistently in agreement with the chemical reading, and, even better, gave me an accurate reading when our chemistry measurement went off-scale due to an easily-corrected problem. That alone more than paid for the meter. It's incredibly quick and easy to use. My only caution to those who might be considering one is to RTFI (Read The Freaking Instructions) ! Proper use, rinsing of the sensor, and storage are required to keep the meter accurate, and the whole process is still faster and easier than pool test chemicals. Re-calibration buffer chemicals are included if you should eventually need them.

I ordered this to replace a yellow one that I broke. Upon arrival, I started using it as it was said to be factory calibrated. After adjusting my pH a few times and still getting odd readings, I decided to re-calibrate it. That proved to be a massive pain with how this device is constructed. I tried 4 or 5 times to calibrate it with no success. It became obvious that it was just faulty. I contacted the company, they refunded me and sent me a replacement. I ordered another one that I had owned before and started using it successfully again. However, I just tried the replacement pen that I got and it too isn't giving accurate results. The first pen was off by 1 and this second one is off consistently by .5. I would not purchase this pen if you want reliable, accurate results and a device that is easy to calibrate. Both pens that this company supplied were faulty.

I use this for my Kombucha and it has been spot on every time. The calibration took a little longer than expected, I was rushing too, but once I got it calibrated, it has been spot on ever since. I use it weekly and have had no issues.

After reading about top meters online I decided to purchase this model. I was skeptical at first because of low price. Don't worry, It's a great meter. I have purchased many meters over the years and this one works great. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone.
