Phonics Poetry Pages: 50 Fill-in-the-Blank Practice Pages That Help Kids Master Essential Phonics Skills for Reading Success

Have been using these phonics pages with my first graders as a morning entry task. They are engaging and they love the drawing boxes.

I love that the students fill in the featured letters for the poems. The poems are rhymes with familiar words. Great for phonics practice and building fluency with young readers.

So far these are hit and miss with my son. He's 7 and struggles with reading. I think the poems aren't very exciting for him, but they may be good for a younger child, or one who isn't as interested in adventure. Part of the issue could be that his reading level is far below his IQ so the poems just dont offer enough material interesr.

Very cute workbook,. Simple layout, fun poems are created just by plugging in the right phonics. The box at the bottom let's the kids draw picures to illustrate poem they created ; helps to reinforce understanding.
