Speed Beez® Speed Loader 10 Shot 22LR for The S&W Model 617

I was so impressed by this, I also purchased the one for the Colt King Cobra 22. My shooting buddies, seeing on the range ended up buying their own too. You'll spend less time loading round into the cylinder of your revolver one by one and more time shooting. In short, it's very easy to use and works very well.

This speed loader along with the speed beez loading block and case are a must have for the range. Very well constructed and simple to use. I have only one working hand due to a spinal cord injury and loading tiny .22 cartridges into my 617 S&W is time consuming without the speed loader. It takes just a few minutes at home to drop a hundred rounds into the loading block then it’s off to the range. I can shoot and reload the cylinder in a matter of seconds with ease and precision. I’ve read some “so so” reviews about the loading block and case but disagree with anything less than the full 5 stars. It is well constructed and durable. The block is much quicker to pre load than the cylinder of the revolver itself. After one hundred rounds are shot I’ll reload the block and do it all over again. I can’t express how pleased I am with the loader and block combo. Yes you order them separately, but they are delivered together as a set for about a hundred bucks. If you can afford an 800 dollar revolver, the added C note for the loader and case is a little money very well spent. I recommend this set for anyone who owns the S&W 617, and will likely get the others for the rest of my S&W collection. You will not be disappointed.

While being a little on the expensive side, this speed loader works great. The fingers of the loader push the rounds out and into the cylinder. That works better than other loaders that rely on gravity especially if the chambers are a little dirty. The only downside that I have found is that if dropped, the rounds can pop out as it is just spring tension holding them.

This is a great piece of kit that really is an essential for anyone with a 617 revolver. When used with the loading blocks available this saves a great deal of frustration with loading and readying your revolver at the range. They're expensive, but for range use you literally only need one if you have a loading block, just push down on the rounds in the block, drop the loader in the cylider and push down on the catch. Takes about five seconds. The construction seems quite solid; I haven't had it long enough to really comment on how long it will last, but it doesn't feel like it's going to disintegrate on me. The plastic is hard but not brittle and hasn't been chewed up by loading any of my beaten up .22 snap caps. I don't think I would own a 617 without this. The only complaint I have is the price, 30 dollars is a bit steep but this loader works, and it works well.

Works as advertised, nice plastic/Aluminum construction, but very expensive. I bought only one for this reason. I also figured out that it is just as fast to load revolver cylinder directly as it is to load loader, but is handy when a speed load is desired or necessary. Rounds drop straight into cylinder. Loader requires that every round snaps under the spring retainer - time consuming.

Makes shooting lots of fun

I have not had this to the range yet as it arrived today. This thing is built like a bank vault, solid and tough. I did play with it for a while and it works like magic. I am a large old guy with arthritic hands and shoot mostly 45 acp in moon clips in my revolvers. Recently I treated myself to a S&W model 617 to have something with no recoil. The 617 is a pleasure to shoot but pure torture for me to load. Those tiny 22s and their equally tiny chambers are hard for old eyes and old fingers to line up. I had no trouble getting the 22s into the loader and the loader slips into place perfectly on the cylinder and one push seats all ten shots. After seeing the quality of this unit I ordered a loading block to use with it. Hope it arrives before next pistol range day.

Got a Henry revolver in 22LR it works perfect.
