Precalculus, 8th Edition

When I got the book I was worried because the cover look rough with bangged up corners and spine, as well as, it had stickers all over it stating it had been a rented book; however, I was very happily surprised to find the pages are in great shape and that makes the book perfectly useable. Also, the financial savings is amazing considering this book retails for $340 and I was able to get it here for only $40. I highly recommend using this seller and I will definately return to them if and when I need another book, especially a text book.

My daughter is a high school junior and used this book for a college precalc I course she took and found it to be a great book. She had no problems understanding it and felt it was well written. She will also use it for the precalc II course which makes it a great value at $114, considering the college bookstore wanted 3 times that for the same book! I would have rented the book because we had good results doing that for my sons classes, but it was cheaper to buy than rent it twice.

My son uses this book in school and BOY is it heavy! He was schlepping the school copy back and forth every day and so I got the idea to buy copies of his heaviest books to keep at home. Now he can keep the school copy in his locker and bring it to class and NOT have to travel around with it, because he has the very same book at home now.

A little bit damage but good quality. Would rent again.

I used this book for Pre-calculus and Trigonometry. The examples are well illustrated and the companion text is clear. The book covers algebra through pre-calculus with a nice review section at the beginning. Definitely recommend as a supplemental text if learning on your own but if it is required you are lucky.

Clear thorough explanations, Many examples. Easy to follow, answer key in the back to check your work (odd number problems). Obviously, 1 star docked because the even numbers were not given in the answer key.

School book. Shipped fast and got the job done. Not very well written. It does not provide many explanations or examples.
