Good but expensive
Probably the best sugar alternative I’ve used so far….. but still a bit on the pricey side

Can’t taste it in food or hot drinks
At first mixing this with your food you feel no sugar. However, licking it with one finger you feel the burst of sugar.

One of the best but still not the same as sugar
I wanted to respond to some of the claims made by other reviews. I've tried every sweetener out there and opted for this one having seen the pitch on Dragons' Den, based on this I liked the sound of it from a health perspective. My summary is: 1. It doesn't taste like sugar 2. It does have an aftertaste 3. You need at least twice as much of this as you would normally have sugar, this makes it very expensive 4. The pack it's in is irritating, it was suggested on the show that they switch to a jar so I don't know why they haven't done so (a glass jar would still be recyclable and easier to use and store) Overall, the best I've tried but quite expensive and still not as good as it needs to be to convincingly replace sugar. Let's hope for an improved (can't really use the word 'refined') version 2...

Sweet replacement
Fabulous product that is as near to sugar taste that you will get but more healthier. If the price could be a bit lower it would be perfect

Warning, can cause extreme laxative effects, and not as natural as claimed
Like others, was this on Dragons Den, thought it might be too good to be true... Sadly that is the case. While it has a less bitter aftertaste than other sweeteners, it does have a wierd cooling effect in your mouth, a bit like a mint. However the biggest issue is that this can have an extreme laxative effect. I used this as an alternative to sugar to sweeten a packet of Kool Aid. However I was then imprisoned for 48 hours with liquid diarrhoea bowel movements- over six times an hour. Xylitol has a similar effect (you find this in some sugar free mints) There is s warning on the packet, I suppose a spoonful in tea or coffee would be ok, but it certainly shouldn't be used to sweeten a litre of squash. Additionally, the term "natural" is very misleading. While Erythritol is "naturally" found in some fruits as described, it is in minute quantities, so this product is derived from corn, in a process which is NOT natural and therefore this product is chemically derived. So the search for a decent low calorie sweetener is not over, extreme diarrhoea is too high a price to pay!!
