Cairo & Nile Delta 1:12,5k / 1:700k Road and Travel Map (Egypt)

The ITM map I have ordered for other locations before and it has pretty good detail. This Cairo map is pretty good also. Some of the smaller street names in old Cairo are not labelled but the outlines are shown.

Just got back from a trip to Cairo. As luck would have it, my hotel was in an area NOT on the map.However, this was pretty good for the areas it did cover; central Cairo and just outside of the circle road.This was better than the other two maps I had tried but still doesn't cover everything.

This map was not very helpful for me. I could not locate any of the addresses of people I knew in Cairo and the surrounding areas. Many streets are shown, but not labeled, even in long-established neighborhoods. Also, there is very little information about the Cairo neighborhood of Maadi, a more recently developed area, popular among European, American and other ex-pats. This map is not at all on par with a typical American map or map app.If you just want the map for shops and tourist attractions, it might be OK, but you'd probably be just as well off to get a guide book that had good maps.
