Richard Feynman's unique ability to convey complex concepts with clarity and insight makes this volume a standout. The new millennium edition includes updated content that ensures relevance to contemporary studies. Feynman's approach to quantum mechanics is both intuitive and rigorous, providing deep insights into the principles and applications of the field. His engaging style, combined with thorough explanations, makes difficult topics accessible and enjoyable to read. This volume serves not only as an excellent introduction for beginners but also as a valuable reference for advanced learners. I highly recommend this book for anyone serious about understanding quantum mechanics. It remains a timeless classic that continues to inspire and educate. Review: classic on the subject - The Feynman lectures are classics. What happened was that he gave lectures, and the students put together their notes. Feynman had one of the clearest understandings of physics of anyone in the 20th century, and it shows in this book. This is well worth reading, if you are interested in the subject. It's like a dessert tray, for me.

A classic revised and corrected.
This book series has acquired legendary status in the physics world. I strongly recommend this , and the other 2 volumes in the set, as reference books for any student pursuing physics , electronics, or other technical fields. I would have liked to have this when I got my BSEE degree. A lot of the classes would have been easier!

excellent
A classic, excellent text

Totally brilliant exposition, but not for beginners
There are brilliant insights in virtually every chapter, and lots to think about. But it does not work as an introduction to the subject. It is really the ruminations of an expert.

great book
all books by feynmann are both fun to read and very informative, he lets you know when a difficult topic is difficult - some authors write in such a way that even the difficult material is easy. feynmann tells it like it is. This goes for all of his books

With the corrections, definitely one of best !compare with other books of this type!!!
This is the next to most current version(6edition I believe), still some typos , but far far less than the rush edition that the book started life as,for those who think it's out of date, think again, you tube has similar more modern version, and it's still the same physics! And with the improvement and corrections, an excellent service, but be warned you have to know math,( algebra ,calculus, trig, and adapt the math formulas to math lab, measurements!) But worth it!!!

Very Approachable Text
Its really amazing, how Feynman is able to route the learner through that complex matter without leaving the learner behind! For me, this is the essential book one needs to (try to) understand what QM is.

I would consider myself to really suck at maths and having trouble understanding theories that contain a lot of equations. But with this book I got a good grasp of Quantum Mechanics. Feynman is known for his outstanding teaching skills. I was personally not very convinced at first but after buying one copy, I can for sure underline and highlight that popular notion. I was very impressed by how easy a complex theory could be explained and also surprised at how much I could understand. But as to many things this book has also his downsides. Getting good at maths one has to actively solve the problems himself. So I was very upset about the part that it does not contain any exercises. But it explains everything in such detail, that even someone that has no physics background can get an overall idea of QM. All in all this literature provides crucial information to understand Quantum Mechanics. The language is easy to understand, kept simple and the equations are properly and in much detail explained. The experiments are included as well.

Quality of pages not up to mark but it's so good to read ..one of Feynman originals
