Radar Mount Mirror Mount + Direct Wire for Uniden Radar Detectors - R1 R3 R4 R7 R8 Extreme (3001209)

Works great with my Uniden R4 radar detector. Very stable mount.

I just got the package and low and behold....no fuse tap. It comes with the wire and the blue connect needs to be connected to a fuse tap. You can splice into a wire with a wire tap, those are provided, but I dont think people want to cut into the factory wiring at all.The mounting screws that actually lock on to the rear view mirror are a bit long... I had to readjust and I still may cut those screws as its touches and could scratch the back of your review.Its a decent mount though. I have not had it through a rough trip as yet, but seems to be held some what firmly.PLEASE BE AWARE...this DOES NOT come with the fuse tap. Its even written on the instructions "Fuse tap sold seperately".EDIT-After speaking with the company, promptly....they explained why it does not come with the tap. I personally do not see it the same way, but I understand their point. I have adjusted my review. Thank you Radar mount for reaching out.

First off it would have been nice to have an option to purchase without the wiring harness. The bracket is great, the quality is there and it is made in the USA. Holds my Uniden R7 perfectly. After 3000 miles of highway, construction zones and dirt roads it hasn't budged.

Bought for a specific radar detector. When it arrived they had included the wrong power cord and so it would not fit my detector. Quality didn’t seem too bad but for it basically being a long power cord with a jumper to add a fuse in your car it’s grossly over priced.

Really happy with this. Took about 35 mins to install in my e90 m3. This also comes with the fuse tap which I didn’t expect! Super satisfied and it works great on my R3.

The mount itself is pretty decent. I installed it on my 2016 Fiat 500X with a Uniden R3 and works just fine on the rear-view mirror and does not move. The hard wire kit works perfectly as well. Instead of tapping into the fuse-box (didn't have any fuse TAPs on hand) I tapped off of my radio leads. This mount kit is a great bargain for the price. Way cheaper than blend mount that does the same thing.

This will mostly stay in place, but the tightening screws do not "lock" the detector in position. I am strong enough and cranked on those screws hard, yet I still have to push it back up after a major bump or pothole. Better than the suction cups that fall off every week, but not as good as it could be.

I love this mount!! Great location, easy to install, ours detector in a great line of sight without blocking any view, & looks great!!!
