Spice up your barbie with this treat. Fantastic on burgers of any kind. Discovered Chakalaka many years ago when in South Africa visiting family. 3 varieties. Mild, Mild & Spicey. Extra Hot. Enjoy.

Winter essential for Saffa
It is what it is, and it's blerrie lekker! Chakalaka, pap and boerewors atleast 3 times a week in the winter. Obviously alot more expensive than back home but that can't be helped.

Koo Chakalaka Mild & Spicy 410g Can
I first tried this in South Africa and really enjoyed it, so i am very happy that i can still get it now that i'm home. For people that haven't tried it, it is best with bread or mashed potatoes. Mmmm

Need a quick flavour bomb for your dishes, reach for a can of this.

Wonderful flavor, something like a curry. I browned 1 1/2” chunks of chicken thighs and chopped onions and added a can each of mild and spicy Chakalaka to make a sort of stew. Served with rice, the result was enjoyed even by the picky eaters! It would work well with any protein, even firm tofu.

A braai is incomplete without chakalaka. It makes the most delicious side dish.
