OTTERBOX SYMMETRY SERIES Case for Samsung Galaxy Note9 - Retail Packaging - BLACK

This case does what it's advertised to do and keeps my phone safe. What I like about this case and particularly the Otterbox Symmetry series in general is it's one-piece design and use of hard plastics to withstand hard drops and rubber to help dissipate that shock away from the phone. There is a decent lip around the top and bottom of the case and the lip is the same material as the inside rubber, but the sides are left lowered to account for the curved screen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The top and bottom lips are tall enough to accommodate my glass screen protector. That is the fault of Samsung and not Otterbox. The cutouts are also very generously sized and my wide fingers are able to plug in my headphones, charger, and access my S-Pen very easily. Cutouts for the speaker and mic holes are decent as well. The fingerprint and camera cutout is also nicely chamfered so that my finger slides and finds the sensor easily. The buttons are covered in that same rubber material as the lip, and are tactile/easy enough to press and actuate. Some tradeoffs are how wide they make the phone. The thicker edges provide more protection for the phone, but sometimes my hands have trouble reaching the top and bottom corners of my screen. In addition, installing and removing the phone from the case can be difficult at times. The case is REALLY rigid and can take some force to remove and install the phone, so be careful. Also the price is not that competitive. Gone are the days of Otterbox cornering the the premium case market. Brands like Spigen and Ghostek are making cases of equal or greater quality at a fraction of the price with equal and even better support. I would not pay more than $20 for this case or for any other phone design especially with the amount of competition in this space. Overall, it's a case that does what it says it will do, but is a little pricey and better deals can be found elsewhere.

Ordered it in black for Note 9 - the fit and color are perfect. This case offers great protection and provides a nice grip for the hands. Most importantly, I never think about it. I put it on my phone a year ago and forgot about it because there is no damage and nothing has come loose or shown signs of wear with time. It's great quality and just feels like a part of my phone at this point. It's the best phone case I've owned. I'm rough with my phone. I'm often tossing it around and dropping it. The fact that this case not only protects my phone but has even endured a great amount of abuse itself and still looks almost new makes it an easy 10/10 for me.

This care is by far the best case overall I've tried for my Note 9. I did not like the way the symmetry line from otterbox fit my Galaxy S8+, though it honestly fit very well I found much stiffer competition as far as cases go for the S8+. With the Note 9 I've found my favorite cases to have been lacking in one area or another. This case is the first and only out of 7 I've used that I cannot find any fault with. It fits perfectly, it looks really nice and i'm as positive as one can be that this thing is super protective. Overall there is nothing more I can ask out of a case and I've got to give this one a full 5 stars and recommendation. Note that for no logical reason I typically dislike the "big name", high price, popular brands regardless and as nice as Otterbox has always been I have always found a legit if not a little picky issue with all their previous cases I have bought for every device I've owned. This one in particular and in direct comparison to it's best competition is one I cannot say anything bad about. I've tried but it really is the best case I've had as of yet for my Note 9 and i do not foresee that changing. It's that well made and that nice.

Good sturdy case. Fits my Note 9, access to stylus. Can only adjust volume while using the phone, can't adjust it under tool settings. Bixby button, power button works fine.

This phone case is lightweight, durable, and fits the phone perfectly. The raised edges add good screen and camera protection. It has a nice grip that helps prevent drops, and the design looks clean and modern. Overall, it’s a reliable and affordable option for everyday use.

I bought the Galaxy Note 9 back about 6 months after its release and got baited in by the Sprint employee to buy the phone along with this exact case. The picture above or attached to this review is my Phone case 2 1/2 years in. The reason the volume button side looks shaved off is because the rubber button side started to fall apart so I ripped it off and sanded down that side so I could adjust my volume.. :) About 3 weeks ago, this exact case started to fall apart due to the sheer amount use that my phone gets. I do preventive maintenance for a Casino so my phone is heavily used from me taking my phone out, me having butter fingers and dropping it, taking pictures of large water pump number gauges in the rain, accidently dropping my phone out of a snow plow truck and this landing on the screen without a single scratch, taking pictures of motor information, using it as a makeshift flashlight for just about anything. This thing has survived it all. I don't care too much about looks for a phone case but just the sheer amount of protection obviously.. The back is super smooth and goes well going into my pockets. Everybody complains about the buttons being super tough to push but I honestly don't see that. If you think this is gonna be some flimsy ass phone case you gotta realize its an Otterbox. Best phone case hands down.

This case isn't like other Otterbox cases were they are bulky. It fits perfect on my Samsung note 9. It has saved me from purchasing another phone multiple times. Also, with all my accidental drops I've had it hasn't craked my screen and I don't have a screen protector. Don't hesitate just get it. Worth the money!!!

I like it, it does the job it is expected to do, but it is very slippery and easily slides out of your hand.

Otterbox has a well known name in the phone case game. I was worried this case might be too thin when I ordered it but, in reality, it gives the user the sense that it will protect my phone from average drops as well as feeling good in the hand.

Esta funda es algo grande aunque para mí no es problema. Protege muy bien el frontal. Al principio es un poco difícil colocar la funda por lo dura que es, pero vale la pena el esfuerzo porque estas seguro de que esta funda más una mica de hidrogel harán tu celular básicamente indestructible.

it's a good quality Otterbox which is the top of the line in phone cases! I havent had any issues with the charging port but the port to plug in ear buds is a bit tight. I barely use ear buds so this isn't much of an issue to me.
