RedX Canada Women's Mid Length Polyfill Winter Coat with Faux Fur Trim on Hood

It was minus 1 in my area today so I got to put this coat to the test. The first thing you'll notice when pulling this coat out of the box is that it weighs a lot and it feels heavy on you if you only weigh 110lbs like I do. I ordered a medium and it's the right size in the chest and torso area when wearing with bulky sweaters or layers. I have longer arms and this coat would have been too tight in the shoulders and too short in the arms if I had went with a small. No drawstring on the hood so it falls forward leaving you with the fur blocking your view. Keeps your neck warm though and the fur is removable. I was most warm in the torso/chest area due to the double breast design with the zipper however, my arms were still colder than I thought they should have been considering how well insulated it appears. Once the temperature warmed up to about 18 degrees, I was more comfortable all over. I wouldn't recommend this jacket for anything below 15 degrees if you intend to be outside for more than 15-30 minutes at a time unless you wear good quality base layers or have meat on your bones to keep you warm. I also wouldn't recommend this for someone who needs to be outside in frigid temps for short periods of time but may also be in and out of the car, buildings, etc. I have to go into places where the environment is not clean enough for me to take my coat off and set it down so most times I'm stuck leaving my coat on. Due to size and heaviness of the coat, it's very awkward trying to hold onto it and use your hands or write on a clipboard at the same time. After about 30 minutes indoors, I was getting really hot. Love the large, deep front pockets but they are not ideal for putting your hands in. I only kept it because they were predicting minus degree temps the following week and needed something better than my other one. Everyone commented about how cute the style is though.

This coat is one of the warmest coats that I've ever bought, the length is perfect and I've gotten many compliments. The one thing that takes time to get used to is zippering from the side instead of the center.

This coat is the best. 2 way zipper is a must-have for me. With the hood that makes it perfect.
