Metra 99-8231 Single or Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 2002-2006 Toyota Camry Without Factory Navigation

Once I figured out how the pieces fit together, I installed the screws and it was ready. My Pioneer head unit would fit once I removed the original bezel from the head unit along with the metal collar. It them slipped into the dash kit and was secured to the mount. As for fit, not bad, but not as perfect as the original radio. Slight gaps around the head unit, but 1/32 inch spaces are not noticeable. I like the storage slot below the radio. It provides a space to place the remote or my phone. Overall, a good product.

I installed this Metra 99-8231 bezel and head unit adapter into the gaping maw of my '04 Toyota Camry. It accommodated both the car and and the double-DIN box perfectly and with zero modification. My experience with Metra adapters: They always fit. My _other_ experience with Metra adapters: They're kinda cheap quality. Metra adapters bezels are made of flimsy black ABS plastic, which does the job just barely. Expect any Metra adapter bezel to have a noticeable gap between the dash and the head unit; and expect each Metra adapter bezel to be aesthetically "off" in color and texture. With those caveats aside... If your intent is to quickly and conveniently install your box into your dash, Metra products are always reliable.

Works perfectly

It's relatively easy to install and works well but be aware, the plastic, especially around the front of the radio is relatively flimsy and flexibke and the kit doesn't line up perfectly, there will likely be a gap between your dash and the kit as well as a possible gap between the kit and the radio. For what it is its a good price and there's really no other option out there.

Actual trash. Bought this for my wife's 2005 Camry SE. Pros: 1. It wasn't too expensive and shipped quickly Cons: 1. DOES NOT FIT. I'm not talking about a 'gap at the bottom'. I mean the single DIN head unit I got does not go through because this plastic is too thick. Want to install the metal sleeve that came with your aftermarket stereo? Too bad, not an option at all, won't fit. 2. No clips or anything to secure the unit into the dash area 3. Thin plastic where it counts Luckily I am handy and cut off some of the plastic on the side parts and MacGyver'd the OEM metal bracket around my stereo and forced some screws into the bottom tray piece, then super glued the front trim to the bottom tray piece and got it to work. I had to take the trim piece off my stereo (Pioneer DEH-S4000BT) to put it in from the back (because again, you can't fit any head unit through the front of the kit). Hopefully my set-up lasts us for some time at all. Would appreciate my money back for the hassle, even though I know I can't return it because I had to modify it to get any functionality out of it.

So the fitment into my 05 Camery is just about perfect. The bottom looks like it's just a tad off. Now the problem I had is the radio didn't fit. And I had to shove this thing in there and the fitment for the single din just isn't right for this radio anyways. I bolted it in but the radio does hang out at the top.

I bought this to install a new radio in my girlfriends car. It was a perfect fit. Easy to install. Dreamt quality. Ud recommend as it’ll make any radio easy from now on.

It is the right kit for my 2006 Toyota Camry but there is a small 2mm gap on the bottom of the dash kit, just enough for you to notice, other than that its good quality and fits everywhere else

Se siente algo frágil en su construcción, queda un hueco en la parte de arriba y no queda muy bien al momento de poner el autoestereo, en mi caso tuve que limar un poco para que pudiera entrar.
