works impressively well.Tested it onl on Aluminium 3mm thick but it cuts that like a warm knife goes thru butter.

I ordered this because it was the only option for Prime next day delivery, but with no great hope of it being any good. I have had experience of the brand and its brethren before and without exception they have set themselves very low quality standards and totally failed to live up to them.To the specifics...Nicely packed and included a Euro connector. Sloppy fit though, even with PTFE tape.Feels a decent weight and the finish is nice. That's all the good I can think of.Cutting performance is dismal, it will not even handle 1mm steel. The blade appears to vibrate more than oscillate which is why it doesn't cut. Substituting the blade carrier from an Aldi Workzone made it work to a good standard, I could easily cut 1.6mm steel without distortion. Inspection of the Silverline showed that the design is defective and the blade cannot be driven any further because the contact fingers are just too far apart for the eccentric drive on the motor.It's going back when I have time to deal with it. If you can find an Aldi Workzone (discontinued) then buy two, their weak point is the planetary gears that strip teeth.

It needs a bit of practice but works well anyway. You can trim small slivers, which is good. Does benefit from in line oiler, to prevent it binding up.

OK at the price.

For the price, this tool is not bad. Quality is ok, but it does suffer from some small glitches, but at the price, you have to be realistic. If you are not requiring to use such a tool on a regular basis, any shortcomings are easy to overlook, and this tool has saved me hours of manual labour with sheers. I have only used it on aluminium, and not steel sheet BTW....Like a lot of airtools, it really needs a high volume compressor and tank if you are doing long cuts.

Excellent quality tool which will get used heavily. I have also purchased a spare blade but may not need depending on how much abuse I give the tool

I had the same problem as Mr baker withmisaligned cutter blades so I had to dismantle the shears to correct problem as I needed to use themurgently. Silverline now will not now recognize the warranty so I will have to buy new blades at considerable expense which makes the very reasonable cost of the shears a bit of an unfunny jokeI have to say that now I have repaired them they are quite good.What a pity they were very poor when they arrived.

Otroligt bra. Jag önskar jag köpt en för många år sedan. Så mycket jobb jag hade sparat och vad bra det hade blivit. 100 ggr bättre än en plåtnibbler

Die Blechschere habe ich benötigt, um ein Blech (1mm) kreisrund mit 40 cm zu schneiden. Dies schien mir mit der Hand sehr mühsam zu werden. In Rezensionen und beim Hersteller ist jeweils "für gerade Schnitte" gestanden - ich ging das Risiko ein und hab mich über das Ergrbnis sehr gefreut. Weniger glücklich hat mich mein Kompressor gemacht, weil die Schere ein ordentlicher "Luftschluckspecht" ist. Somit waren alle 30 Sekunden Pausen zur Füllung des Kompressortanks erforderlich.Der Schnitt ist sauber und lässt, wie oben beschrieben, leichte Rundungen zu.Bin super zufrieden!
