Dylon 350g Machine Dye Pods, Sunflower Yellow

Excellent dye! Dye took very well to a thick cotton cloak and color is a vibrant yellow just as pictured on packaging. I recommend soaking your item in a basin of water with the dye for 30-60 minutes as opposed to using it in a washing machine.

I did a small load with plain white sheets as my main target and threw in a few other items that I thought might be cute yellow. The sheets came out bright white (no effect). Just to be clear, I unwrapped the pod, removed the foil seal, read the contents that were in a little leaflet like packet, sat it upright on top of the sheets. I stood there and watched to see if the powder came out and it did. It was 100% empty after the load. In addition, I have a front opening washer so I don’t understand why nothing happened to the majority of the items and one went in lavender and came out grey. I was going to buy several more colors but not now.

Did not change the color at all and I followed the directions.

Brilliant. Perfect results, so easy to do. I thoroughly recommend this product. I dyed two Ikea chair covers that were sun faded and they are now a beautiful sunshine yellow. I hesitated before buying but worried needlessly. Nothing like the dye of days gone by, this was great.

Lovely yellow colour. Used on some whites that had become less than brilliant white. Easy to use, much easier with machine dye and great results. Emerald green not so good. Very dull 'faded denim' colour in natural light, not what I was after. Will have to redo that one. Would not buy that colour again. My single yellow pod dyed 1 king size flat sheet. 1 king size fitted sheet. 1 adult t shirt. 1 child's top. 2 pillowcases. 2 yards of cheesecloth fabric. Emerald green pod was used with 2 white cotton sheets, with dismal results. Edit: I should add that I have a 10kg drum in my washing machine. So the items put inside to dye, did not exceed the required half full drum. The items need sufficient room to freely rotate in the drum to ensure even coverage.

Had a pale coloured short sleeved shirt that had got splashes of bleach on it from various household cleaning jobs and as it was a favourite of mine, decided to give this dye a go. Well, it’s certainly bright! A definite sunflower yellow that is a little eye popping on a shirt for me but what the heck, it recovered a favourite linen shirt.

Didn’t achieve a sunshine yellow even with 2 pods on one hoody. Maybe because it was a dusky pink previously- came up to a strong english mustard colour. So not too bad. Really even result too. I left it in for 24 hours.
