Awesome!
This Ground Screw is awesome! I use it for my American Flag in my front rock garden. It is heavy duty and screws securely in the ground. Make sure to line up the cuts on the side before you screw in the screw that secures the pole. So the screw will secure at the pole and not at the plastic. You will see them on the side of each sizer.

Great for outdoor lights
This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to string about 120 feet of lights around our deck and pool, but did not want to have to sink 4x4's or put in anything so permanent. I spaced these out about every 15 feet and bought 10" metal conduit and local hardware store to use as my poles. The screws bite easily and are secure in the ground. Installation took only minutes and I was up and running. Highly recommend.

Works great!
I tried several other ways of keeping my 9ft umbrella stable before I found this product, none of which were successful or worked nearly this well! I used a 2 in PVC pipe to provide a tighter fit and add stability and it worked perfect! The red plastic rings they included help, but I do have to push them back into place occasionally. I drilled a hole through the PVC pipe and the umbrella pole and put a bolt through to prevent my umbrella from spinning or lifting up and flying away when the wind is high, but as you can see, my patio is tiny and the ribs of my umbrella are held into place by the wall, so I haven't had to use the bolt. I usually keep the umbrella closed unless it's raining, but I've had it open and tilted during storms with winds gusting up to 25 mph. It moved and wobbled a bit, but mostly held steady. I live in central Texas, soil a mix of dirt, clay, and small rocks, and had no trouble getting this into the ground with the rebar provided. It was in there pretty tight until we had several days of hard rain, and now it's a bit loose, but still holding. I shoved a couple rocks between the dirt and the pole and it's more stable now. I personally think this is a fantastic product, high quality, heavy duty, and I'm so glad I found it!!

Good alternative to a weighted base
I bought a 9' patio umbrella and rather than finding a 90 lb base, I decided to give this a try. It seems sturdy enough to handle a breeze. It takes quite a bit of muscle to screw it in nearly flush with the ground, but wasn't too hard to get it to where about 6" sticks out.

These things are amazing
I needed these to create anchor points for a shade sail so I could wash my car in the driveway. These things worked perfectly. I am leaving them in the ground for now. They have been in for a couple of months and have not gotten loose at all. They were easy to screw into the ground and they are tight. I would highly recommend them for temporary pole anchors.

Solid and easy to install, but single-screw to secure pole is inadequate
Solid casting and obviously very sturdy, and even in my dense clay soil was easy to install after driving a pilot hole. And the plastic insert rings to match the pole size are a nice addition, but they don’t work with the single screw and threaded hole provided to secure the umbrella pole is inadequate. The plastic rings just squeeze to the opposite side, and as wind blows, the the rings just pop out of the hole they are in allowing the pole to wiggle around, rendering the securing screw useless. The diameter of the pole inserted into the ground screw has to match the opening. One securing screw just isn’t enough. In my opinion claiming any pole size other than that will fit, is misleading at best. I am planning to keep the ground screw for now, to see if I can do something to make this meet my particular need since I already stuck it in the ground. But I won’t buy another one that’s for sure.

heavy duty and sturdy
Just received; all parts included and stuck inside so I just turned over and tapped and the parts fell out easily. Using for 9' market umbrella. Easy to screw into ground and seems very stable. I'm pretty certain it will work for an umbrella but we'll see when the winds come. I am so happy that i'm going to order another one. Very happy with this purchase. Was concerned it might not be heavy duty enough but it is very heavy duty and screws deep into the ground and a deep cup to hold umbrella.
