Does the job great
The best tool I know of to sharpen hollow square drills. A good buy.

Chisel Dependent
You just have to be careful to buy chisels that match the cone angles. Other than that, they work fairly well. Made in China if I remember right.

Didn’t work with 1/2”
Didn’t work with 1/2” bit like they said. Otherwise worked fine. Had to buy another set….

Best solution to sharpen hollow chisels.
This little sharpener for hollow chisel mortisers is great. It’s very easy to use and it works quite well.

Just OK
Meh. The fine one seemed to have only patchy abrasive on it. Course one works OK.

works great for the price
I am a woodturner and use the 600 grit cone to hone the inside edge of a ring tool. I wish it had a little better coat of diamond, but for the price it is a good value, For those who lost the diamonds one the surface, you are pushing too hard. Let the tool do its work. Put the bit in a drill and run it at low speed while LIGHTLY pressing into the chisel. A drop of honing oil will also improve results.

Cone Angle is 56 Degrees
I never imagined it would be so difficult to find sharpeners for my hollow chisels but it has been. For some reason none of the chisel manufacturers list the angle of the chisels, and non of the cone sharpener manufacturers list the angle of the sharpening cones. This baffles me. I bought these to sharpen my powermatic premium chisels (Japanese). Research seems to say that most Japanese made chisels have a cone angle of 60 degrees. I got the taytools cones and they are 56 degrees, which you would not think is a big difference but it is huge. These cones do not work for most Japanese made chisels. I don't understand why all of this information isn't clearly provided. The lee valley cones are far superior and are at a perfect 60 degrees. They are also twice as big meaning you can sharpen 3/4" or even 1" chisels if you have them. The taytool set, and most of the others you find out there, will only sharpen up to 1/2"
