What is the lie angle on this?

Can't give an exact angle, but it is quite high; too high in my estimation. About like a 9 iron. I use it, but the bump is about as long as the run!

can the club be returned if used and we don't like it?

You wont return it if used correctly, very happy with mine and everyone seems to love it. Great for first cut shots off the green and has great immediate backspin.
