This unit is just stunning. Recently attended a retreat where more than half the teachers were using Ultimate Ears speakers, with the boom 2 leading the way. Perfect for background music for work place or classes, as well as for social events - especially in party mode! The concept of having up to 150 of these units all synced together is incredible, and I'd love to see how it would work in a real world situation.Once you update the firmware on the speaker, you get great battery life, great sound and easy use with multiple devices. People keep asking me about it and where they can get one, so it sells itself! The waterproof feature is ideal for poolside, or for outdoor work. Mine has been rained on and covered in mud, and still works perfectly.

Like all the reviews below say...... I've had 2 really good Bluetooth speakers and they've finally expired. Read the reviews on Amazon and online, all of which pointed to the boom2.I've learned that running your speaker in for a couple of hours isn't a myth and it really does improve the range and especially the bass.4 hours in, it's everything the other reviews said it was. Beer can size. Amazing volume without distortion. Great tonal separation. Uncanny 360 degree sound which is hard to believe.Dithering and second guessing about a purchase is fault of mine. Very happy with this decision.This is an excellent speaker which delivers to your highest expectations.Very satisfied.

Cheaper than the special edition ones being sold in John Lewis on Black Friday for £95. Quick delivery, great sound for all of the types of music I have. Sleek design though you have to lay the speaker on its side to charge it via cable and wall plug. Comes 40% charged and charges up fully very quickly. App is a bit rubbish though that isn't the seller's responsibility, however, something buyers should be aware of. My main speakers are Bose and this is a fantastic travel speaker.

I've been dead against Bluetooth connectivity for Sound Quality as with everything, you cannot replace wired sound with wireless.I caved as when we install machinery, we whack some tunes on and it passes the day on quite well.The sound this little cylinder of joy punches out is very good, whether wired with the 3.5mm aux or through bluetooth. Not bass heavy and very balanced sound. The dedicated app you can download allows custom eq if needed but I've never needed too at all. It's loud enough to fill a large room and because it has sound projected all the way around it, it does it better if your moving round it. The sound doesn't feel contained to a flat panel.Battery life is good and can easily get a full day use from it, maybe 2 if you don't use bluetooth and go 3.5mm aux instead.I personally like that option as I still have and use MP3 players without Bluetooth connectivity. We tested the Bose mini Bluetooth speaker and found it tinny and trying to be bigger than it was. At a more expensive price, it was a no brainer to get this.Over all, I've had the speaker 18 months and still use it every few weeks with battery life slightly worse (you'd expect that) but more than capable for a full day's worth.

It has a good range of sound, but not a great clarity of bass if you have it on the highest volume, but for the size and portability of it, it sounds great to me. I have a very wide range of music tastes and even with the volume up quite high, it all sounds good to me.I have taken it to friends, use it in the bath when watching movies (it is waterproof which is handy), move it round the place while I am cleaning or singing in the shower. Really am getting the use of out it.It was £69.99 on an offer, which I think is a fair price. The only smaller, portable units that have a better sound that I have experienced have been Bose or Sony, which have been at a minimum at £200. So depending on what you want to spend, would depend on whether or not you'd want to go for this model.It's great for what I need it for, can go nice and loud for use at a summer BBQ and being as I listen to a lot of rock, doesn't distort if you use the EQ settings in the app.On that note, the app is useful to get access to all the additional features of having multiple "DJs" or to add other UE Booms. You can also set up alarms through it which is a little bonus feature.

a speaker can play really loud for the size and sound is quite good but you can't really listen to it below 30-40% because it just mumbling and the sound is not clear at all once you get to 50% it's all good. Little weak bass. I really like about this speaker that you can download Boom app and you can remotely turn it on from the smartphone, multiple people can be connected at the same time. Speaker feels premium and very durable, no moving parts so the speaker is ideal for travelling without worries and with style

Excellent!!!! My experience is it's loud! Sound quality is great!! Battery I'm happy with for two reasons- it lasts all day and it can be replaced. It's solid built, waterproof, it has nfc, I don't is NFC because the Bluetooth connects so quick. Also the app is great, it gives firmware updates and has an equaliser. The only negatives are it's a little heavy but thats it. I paid £69,99 and I think that's a fair price. I returned a very loud Tronsmart force and I prefer this.

I do love the sound of this and the design of the item. However, I just wanted to leave a quick review to say that some of the functionality has never worked and the helpline was also unable to get me set up. So don't assume that you'll be able to use the speaker to pause/play/skip. If you're happy with this, it's a nice little speaker.
