KOHLER Genuine Part Pump Assembly, Unfinished

Opps! I made a mistake. I was searching for a replacement pump assembly for my Moen faucet purchased eight years ago and the more I searched the more confused I became. I didn't have the model number of my faucet and it's dispenser and I could no longer find that model online to determine the model number. Even Moen's website didn't have it. I finally came down to two choices on Amazon that looked exactly like my current pump, this one, and another one that stated it was for Moen. For some reason, I didn't realize that this was listed as a replacement part for Kohler pumps. As I said, I was confused and weary of searching. I didn't notice "Kohler" on the Amazon listing or else I likely would not have purchased it. What caught my eye other than the fact that it looked exactly like my current one was the price of it -- inexpensive, with free shipping, of course. And fast delivery. I thought, what do I have to lose? I can order and try it, and if it didn't fit, I wouldn't be out that much money, even if I didn't return it. When I got it yesterday, I opened it up and then I noticed the package (guess I'm not the brightest bulb around, eh?). It was then I realized this was a genuine part for a Kohler soap dispenser. With the package already opened, I decided to see if it would fit. Bingo! It's the exact same pump. It screwed in well, and so far -- it's working just fine. Fingers crossed that remains the case. ***Three days later, that has remained the case and is working perfectly.*** I read so many reviews here and elsewhere by those who purchased this one and others, and so many of them discovered the pumps didn't fit. I was certain I would be among those who couldn't find the correct pump. Boy -- did I luck out!

I needed a replacement pump mechanism for a several-year-old Grohe 40535-series dispenser that had lost suction. The Grohe-branded part I found online cost over $30 just for the plastic pump mechanism which seemed very pricey to me as it's basically just a heavier-duty version of a pump you might find on a lotion or shampoo bottle. During my search though I found many reviews that mentioned this Kohler item as an interchangeable replacement for the Grohe. For the massive difference in price - and the fact that Kohler is a reputable brand - it was a no-brainer to me to give this one a try before spending big bucks on the Grohe. I'm happy to say that the reviews were correct and this item worked just fine, though you do have to retain a couple pieces from the original pump assembly for use with this new pump, namely the black plastic ring that tops the Grohe pump mechanism and the siphon tube that actually dips down into the soap (the Grohe siphon tube is longer so if you don't swap that part the reservoir won't empty all the way and you'll have to fill it more often). As long as you take those two parts off the Grohe mechanism and install them on the Kohler (simple friction fit) you'll have a good-as-new pump for just a few dollars. Sometimes reading reviews really pays off!

It works beautifully, but unfortunately, it was about an inch too short for the bottle that came with my tap. Not the end of the world, we’ll just have to refill the bottle more often

For the last few years, I struggled to get even a little bit of soap out of my Kohler Clairette Collection in-sink liquid soap dispenser. I cleared the nozzle, changed to a thinner liquid soap, etc., but didn't want to buy a whole new one unless absolutely necessary (they're not cheap), when it seemed that only the cheap plastic innards were beginning to fail. (Even the liquid soap bottle under the sink has held up well - unlike many other brands.) Finally, the dispenser head just got stuck in the down position, and required pulling it out and resetting the plastic innards each time. That was it. I headed to Home Depot and looked at my options. No one seemed to sell any replacement parts. (And new ones were sparse - and expensive.) Then I started comparison shopping various new models on Amazon - and read a few reviews that mentioned this handy replacement part that fit their old models. (It appears to be a pretty universal assembly - for Kohler liquid soap/lotion dispensers, at least.) I looked up the parts diagram for my model online. Sure enough, it's the same part number as this plastic assembly!! It just arrived today. I took it out of the Kohler original parts bag, attached it to the head assembly of my soap dispenser and - Voila!! Good as new!! (And it puts out a decent amount of liquid soap again!!) So, for $2.77 + tax, I essentially have a 'new' Kohler soap dispenser. (I actually bought two, on the wise advice of another reviewer - in the event it's hard to find this replacement part again by the time this part fails again.) The original Kohler chrome head and spout (from 2012) has held up beautifully (yes, it's worth buying good) - hence, why I was reluctant to spend a lot of money and replace the whole thing. Now I know what to do to keep it running good as new. So for a grand total of $5.88, I've repaired my original Kohler soap dispenser in an instant, I'm ready for the next time the inner assembly starts to go, I'm pleased as punch that I've just saved a bundle, and am glad to have avoided throwing out a perfectly good product that just needed new plastic innards. I am very pleased to have been able to do my part to help the planet by reducing unnecessary garbage/ recycling. And there's NO crawling under the sink to install a whole new liquid soap dispenser assembly. Just carefully reattach to the head with spout, drop it back in place, and you're good to go. I don't know if this fits ALL makes and models - but it sure fits Kohler Clairette Collection. I never expected to be able to find replacement parts on Amazon that aren't even carried by home improvement stores! But this was a great find. (I'm bookmarking this listing for future use, too!)

Once installed, which was easy, worked as intended. Still not having any issues.

Works great with my Delta soap dispenser head since I couldn’t find a Delta replacement. The bottle pickup tube was shorter than my Delta one so I just swapped them out. Very little action needed to dispense the soap. Great price compared to replacing the complete unit.

Woohoo, my soap dispenser works again for only a few bucks. Better than buying the whole thing for around $100 or getting a cheap one that doesn't match the faucet at a box store for $40. I took my old one apart and there is a stone or ceramic filter in these guys. That is what plugs. I don't know if there is a way to soak these or something so they will work again, but I've tried all kinds of things on some counter top dispensers in my bathroom. Nothing seems to work and I end up just throwing the whole dispenser out. I just replace those every few years for 10 or 15 bucks that's ok. But for 100 plus it takes to replace the under counter kitchen dispenser that is harder to take. I'll definitely get a couple more of these for next time it plugs. This is a Kohler pump, but I used it in a Moen dispenser. worked perfectly in tube length and connection sizes. Some other reviews had the diameter of the connection mentioned and I measured my old one before ordering.

Our soap dispenser on the kitchen sink stopped pumping. Instead of replacing the whole unit, we found this & it fit even though our dispenser is not a Kohler. Its now back in working order. Amazon prime is so great, if it hadn't fit we could have returned it with no issues. It makes me feel confident to make online purchases here. Very pleased.

This is exact duplicate of what came with my now 6 year old (clogged up) soap dispenser pump. After messing around with the old one - rinsing, soaking, etc. for HOURS, for the cost I just ordered a new one - here in a day. Happily washing my hands with the hand soap I filled the dispenser with, instead of the dish soap in my OTHER dispenser. Outside of bag looks like legit Kohler part. If just a knock off? Who cares - it works.
