Harvy Extra Long Folding Cane

I bought this cane to assist me in recovering from an accident. At this point, I could ride my bicycle but still needed support to walk around. The cane folded up in such a way that I could fit it in the small of my back while riding mybicycle or keep it in the little cinch bag on my bicycle handlebars. Once off the bicycle with a flick of the wrist, the cane extended out into a sturdy confident cane. I definitely recommend this to somebody who wants a compact, handsome and good quality folding cane. I’m glad I don’t need it anymore, but I’m glad that I had it.

Great Quality and ideal for a 6-foot-7 guy like me.

I ordered this cane to serve as a spare for an upcoming trip to Europe. Because it folds up, I can easily pack it in my luggage. If my regular cane broke, etc., I would be at a major loss because I'm sure finding an extra long cane would be impossible while on a river cruise. It'a difficult to find decent long canes here in the US. I am 6'6" and I find this cane long enough. I even notched it down 2 positions. I realize there is a fine line between the materials used to make anything and the price point. This cane was affordable but because of that it is a wee bit less robust than I was hoping. The handle has a wood grain appearance but it is plastic. The good thing is the cane does not rattle when used. Many adjustable canes rattle and that drives be crazy because I don't drawing attention to myself. It has a basic cane tip but it gets a bonus as it has a metal insert. I haven't used the cane enough yet but if I experience issues I will update this review.

My husband was having knee replacement surgery, and since he’s 6'7", I needed an extra-long cane that would fit him comfortably. I also wanted something foldable so he could carry it easily and only use it when needed. This cane was absolutely perfect — sturdy, convenient, and just the right height!

As I would expect of a cane from Harvy Surgical Supply (I have two other Harvy canes) the quality of this product is excellent. It folds easily into four sections making a package that is more compact than anticipated. I need to use a cane part of the time, so when folded I can carry this cane in a briefcase or suitcase and have it handy. When unfolded, the cane is sturdy, yet light in weight. The length adjustment feature is very useful. Within the adjustment range of 39 to 43 inches, the increments are one inch apart. The extra-long length is greatly appreciated (I'm 6-4). The handle is comfortable and effective. Regarding appearance, the black finish of the tube is virtually flawless and the handle is handsome with brown wood grain. In sum, this product is highly recommended.

The very first time I pushed the length adjustment button it fell sideways into the cane and now the cane isn’t adjustable. Will be returning for refund/replacement I hope.

I purchased this cane for my 6'6" father. It is the ONLY classic folding cane I was able to find for a very tall person. The height helps him to stand up straighter, just like using a tall person walker. This is a very important aid for a tall person to keep their posture upright for better balance, something you don't think about until you work with a tall person! It has held up well and very strong. The wooden handle has cracked and chipped from him dropping it, but that is to be expected with long term use. The cane is very sturdy and easy for him to fold when he needs to store it away. I have since purchased another XLong folding cane for him to keep nice for his special outings. Note: The straighter Fritz handle is easier for a person with larger hands to hold as compared to the curved Derby shape. I did not think about this, but there is a big difference in comfort. This is his best "friend" now! Great purchase!
