Nerf N-Strike Mega AccuStrike Series Thunderhawk

I got this for my 10yr old son as a gift and he absolutely loves it. This thing is massive, and I mean HUGE! Luckily, the barrel does collapse and so does the kickstand, so storing it isn't too bad. It takes the larger darts and is fairly accurate for a gigantic toy railgun. He hasn't had any issues such as misfiring or darts getting stuck like some other guns in the past. It's been around for a few months and still ranks as my son's favorite, which is a big deal!

The gun itself is fine. Feels great to run around with a massive mega rifle. The extending barrel is a lie. You may be able to see from pics that it's actually the frame or body of the rifle that juts forward, not the barrel itself. It's intimidating, but not functional in any way. in fact, it makes the gun too front heavy and may deflect shots (although if it does, the bullet wasn't destined to hit anything anyway).This gun may be too big for little ones. My 10yo can handle it okay, but definitely not an all day run around and play gun for small kids. The clip that it uses is fun and quick and easy to reload, but it does fail to line up quite frequently. Even if you line up the initial round just right, the next may not, and you'll have to manually adjust. Not a huge deal, but definitely not a run and gun rifle. It's more of a stationary support option.

Is definitely really cool for kids to play with and even teenagers to have some fun with. However it does tend to misfire quite often and it's size does make it a bit of a pain to store since the clip is non detachable. But still very fun to mess around with and I would say it's a great gift for anyone into nerf

Do not buy this toy. We got this a couple of days ago, and it has disappointed us. The first day, it fired accurately and a good distance. By tonight, the nerf bullets wouldn't even shoot, and we've only used it a couple of times (it's hardly been overused). As some of the other reviewers indicated, the bullets get stuck and don't travel more than a foot or two.

Looks cool, but constantly jams.

I was disappointed. First, and this may be my lack of how to operate the thing - half the time the dart doesn't shoot - it gets stuck. And when it does come out it peters out in a limp arc to the ground. I'm taking it back tomorrow.
