After my delivery came within 2 days i opened the package and then opened the letter opener whicc came in a padded box, just like a jeweller wood use to protect a diamond ring. The opener was a bit thinner than i thought it would be but the quality is superb. It also feels nice in the hand....great purchase.

Purchased this as a gift, it looks lovely and was well received.However the stone in the handle fell out the first time it was used. It was a simple job to re-glue it back but it shouldn't have happened.Also it could be sharper which would make it more effective.With a little more attention to detail this would be a very good product.
