I've brought this many times. This stuff works amazingly thats probably why its always sold out in pet stores. I got this before our big ice storm. I use it for my handicap dog who has problems getting up and down the stairs when its icy. It has never hurt the dogs and puppy. Best stuff on the market. My 1 complaint is when I ran out, I went to buy it again, 1st wk of December it 80+ dollars for this 38lbs bucket when I ran out after our ice storm, I went to purchase it again and it was 129. Than dropped to 107.. ridiculous if u ask me, thats price gauging I brought the smaller containers that were cheaper. But to increase the price that way was very hurtful to many. Besides that product is fantastic

This product works effectively when using it on shallow snowfall or after clearing most of the snow, which is exactly what I want it for. I'm unsure how it would work on deep snow, but I haven't tried it and I feel that expecting any pet-safe product to be effective under excessive conditions is being unrealistic. I especially like the fact that it includes a traction agent, which is a time saver. (And you seemingly can't buy plain kitty litter anymore.) I found the 35 pound pail to be very easy to open, it only took me one or two minutes and was not a strain. I suggest that anyone who had a problem doing so should have read the instructions to break the tab (on the lid) and remove the connecting ring - I'm quite sure that attempting to just yank the lid off would get you nowhere.

Been using this for several winter seasons and very satisfied. Works better than the regular ice salt. I like having the blue color so I can see where I applied it. The particles are smaller than regular ice salt so it sprinkles more finely and evenly. Great being able to use on wooden deck steps without worrying about any corrosive effects. Also not having to worry about the pooch stepping on it. At first thought it a little pricey, but found a little goes a long way. Highly recommend.

I’ve ordered safe paw before and it came as a white pebble. The the products from this seller was a blue pebble. I ordered it in December and of course we didn’t have snow for a while so I didn’t use it right away. I spread it on my steps in my walk and it did not melt anything it’s just crystallized and became hard harder. The product they ordered the year before that was white. It was the same brand. It had melted everything beautifully and it kept the snow from accumulating. This product made the sidewalk and steps icy. I contacted the seller and he would not take the product back. I suggested they extend their return policy since this isn’t an item that you just put out right away. It depends on the weather. I don’t know what to do with it except just to throw it out. Do not buy this product and whatever you buy, make sure the crystals are white.

Works great! Almost used the full bucket in two snowstorms. Did a great job making the ice and snow easier to remove. Good size buck that I used to refill the smaller jug. Will keep an eye when it’s available and will buy again. I like the color stand out against the snow and ice.
