This is the third microwave griddle pan I have bought in the last 3 years. I am hard on them, using them 2 to 4 times a week. I've had this style before and the kind with ridges. I would give either kind four stars. They do what they say they do. They grill steaks, hamburgers and chops as well as you can do them in a fry pan, about as fast, and with an easy clean up. The final product is good. Great taste and it tastes grilled. This kid has a flat bottom but is bigger. No grill marks, but it will hold more than one serving, and you can warm cooked veggies in it along with the meat after you turn it over. The big con on this item is that after about a year, when the paint on the cover is badly stained, the paint on the inside of the cover will chip off. You can no longer use the pan when that happens. But there is nothing like it for someone who cooks for one. I've replaced the pot twice.

Where has this been? Wonderful results and fast. Excellent. I like it better than air fry.

I just got this today and tried making sausage patties, fried eggs, and french fries all together in the pan. And I love it! Fries were crispy yet greasy from sausage and oil. Directions say you must add oil or water everytime. I flipped sausage and fries once. Eggs had crispy bottom and edges the way I like them. Yolk did not explode or dry out. Tried muffins with muffin pan: came out fluffy yet dry. Caution:I made the mistake of cooking muffins at full power at 1200 watt microwave. It sparked twice so i turned power to 4. At full power and 3 minutes the muffins did not cook in the middle. So power at 4 was better . Added more time in increments. Adjust time for your microwave. And cook in increments to avoid sparks. Muffins were fluffy yet dry. They did brown like cake. They tasted steamed like a bun or steamed bread. I used a muffin mix not the recipe in book. Maybe directions state to sprinkle brown sugar on top as a topping so it will brown. I dont know. Next time i will cook them at lower power and adjust time. I'm giving it 3.5 stars not 5 because directions dont warn about sparks. Time in directions really seems like a guideline. It was trial and error for me and muffins were error! Don't risk ruining your microwave. Be careful. It is very hot when you take it out and will keep food sizzling for a while after you take it out. My fries stayed warm and crispy with lid closed. UPDATE: this pot must be defective because it kept sparking. I returned it and asked for replacement. I'm afraid to try muffins again since that is when the problems started. After that food burned and charred until microwave with smoke and when I looked closely the edges around the inside of the pot had melted and the lid no longer fit. I don't know why since I followed all directions. I received replacement today, but I got the wrong pot. They sent me a round pot with the grill. But i ordered the round pot with the flat bottom so i could fry eggs. Plus due to not enough packaging materials the plastic edges used as handles were broken. Amazon already processed a replacement and packaging feedback but if it is broken again I will request a refund . Hopefully the new repmacement will be okay. Microhearth, I have such high hopes. I enjoy crispy microwave food and the pot is more affordable than a similar product out there. If this last and third pot works well I will give you five stars!

I love this little innovative microwave cooker. It gave me great char on my very expensive steak. Plus - clean up was easy. I'd gotten another variety with a copper bottom and it was horrid as it was impossible to clean after the 3rd or so use. Not so this little gadget. It cooked my steak perfectly and cleaned up like new. If I may also point out I had a tiny hiccup (not worth mentioning), contacted their customer service and they got back to me within MINUTES. Color me impressed.

I use for cooking hamburgers, fajitas, chicken etc. I have been cooking in the microwave with the rectangle pan for 10 years. My husband swears it's like steals being cooked on a grill best part fast to cook and easy to clean up.

Try preheating pan in microwave for great grill marks when making steaks and chicken, I just got mine and I like it. I'm experimenting and the cook book has good recipes and is silent about preheating their pan in the microwave. I found a good man on Youtube doing reviews and he preheats the pan. His directions stated to preheat pan as much as four minutes if you have a weak microwave. I only did two minutes. This pan is fun but might be pricey at $80, you're not getting ripped off because it is well made
