I was a surprised, to say the least, when I saw the quality of this 30-piece set of glass jars that I bought for $25. The jars are heavy for their size, quite beautiful, and the lids go on and off smoothly. They came to me as well packed as any package I've ever received (pricey crystal could not have been packaged better). The plastic jars that are all over the stores and the Internet cost only a little less than these, and they are, well, plastic. If you'll be storing food, there's no contest at all. (Read some of the reports on the importance of food storage in glassware.) And it will be very handy to have storage jars that are just the right size for those little dabs of leftovers, especially for those of us with crowded refrigerators. Seriously, these are a huge bargain, and everything about them is done well. Update, Sept. 8, 2020: I am still very impressed, and I've used these for so many things that I may have to order another 30! I store garden seeds in them and put them in the freezer at the end of growing season; I store nuts and bolts in them, and small amounts of Nu-Stock (a wonderful product, but it tends to get gunked up in the tube). I use them to store dried herbs (which seem to keep their taste better when housed in glass); buttons and thimble; informal gifts of pesto (I grow basil, and a half-cup of pesto on pasta is enough to feed three people); and for needles in alcohol for sterilization (I have livestock). Actually, this set seems to me a fabulous holiday gift idea.

These hexagonal jars with gold lids are IDEAL! Not only is the shape and look so cute, but it’s also a really thick and durable glass. I will advise, for those who were making candles with it and said that it broke - I’m not too knowledgeable about candle making, but with jam, I read that if you close the lid when the contents of the jar are still hot, it can create pressure which causes the glass to break/ explode. So if you’re working with hot contents, always let it cool with the lid off before covering it. The jars went through the dishwasher cycle well, no damages. The labels that come with it are SO cute! I was going to print some but decided to just draw on the ones provided and I think it turned out nice. I can’t wait to make a ton of jam and give it away in these! Which brings me to my next point: THIS PRICE!! It is so affordable for this quantity. Finally, the seal is strong and the lid is very easy to screw and unscrew (note: I did not put the lids in the dishwasher as I didn’t want to heat the seal) Overall, I highly recommend!

Bought the 1.5oz jars as party favors of vanilla sugar. Beautiful jars and perfect size.

I've used these jars for jelly. I give them as gifts. Unlike regular jelly jars, thisp jar is pretty enough to be used for others things once it is empty.

If you're like me, you cook. And, if you're like me, you give away 98% or more of what you make because: a) it's cheaper to make in bulk and cutting recipes by quarters is a pain b) you don't have enough storage room in your kitchen/freezer/fridge c) you like giving things to people that are out of the ordinary and really appreciated because the receiver may not have bought or tried something on their own - and discover they like it d) you like rounding out your repertoire and having a table full of homemade condiments at the barbecue (where you smoked the brisket and made the sausage from scratch, natch) is the chef's kiss Ok, maybe you're not like me. These are fine jars to hold stone-ground mustard, which is super-easy to make and you can make ~2 jars (8oz) quickly - and control the heat level. The jars are sturdy, caps easy to screw on/off, the glass is clear and without blemish, and the hex shape is perfect for labeling. Pretty much everything you need in a 4oz jar to give away extra mustard or bring it to the barbecue and not worry about getting the container back - or even giving more jars away after you get compliments. I think there's a theme here...

I got these to give out honey to my friends and family for Xmas. I keep bees... 🐝🍯. These are great jars, good quality glass, lids you can really snug down. Packaging was great, foam cut outs for each jar. Even came with some twine and tags to put on each one.

Out of the 30 jars, 4 had dented lids and 2 had glass chips inside although those 2 jars are not damaged. Can the seller or amazon do a partial refund for the 4 jars as I am keen to start using the undamaged jars?

I used these to make candles and theyre PERFECT! 10/10 Will be buying more
