Adult Long Arm Cast Protectors

I have only given 4 stars purely because I have not used this protector yet. So this review is from visual inspection of the product only. The rubber neck seal (not sure how else to describe it) appears soft and hugs my leg well when applied. The plastic material of the leg bag itself feels pliable but robust. So I'm sure will work well to keep my cast dry in the shower. Some words of advice from a mistake I did. Check the measurements before you order, which I didn't do. I've got a below knee cast. But because some reviewers said the below knee let water in at the seal area, I ordered the long leg thinking I would get a better seal. The long leg is 42 " long. Way too long for my leg. The shorter length is I think 24", which would have been much better for me. But this is my fault and NOT the manufacturers or suppliers fault. I could return it for a replacement. But they are not expensive and buy the time I pay postage back and reorder, it would not be worth the expense. So with help I turned the bottom over and taped it. I haven't used it yet, I'm just hoping it'll work. Another word of advice. Just take your time applying it over your cast/ dressings etc. It is a little fiddling!!

I am 6'4" tall and this was long enough for me, in fact it was a little too long. I am in a brace from ankle to thigh so I cut it off below the brace. I don't ended up cutting about 10 inches off the length, so should do people up to 7' tall. Quite snug in the terms of the diameter round the leg. I couldn't wear it for long, but at the same time, it kept me dry and worked a treat. Easy enough to put on and not fragile. My brace has sharp edges but it didn't tear etc.

Although it is quite difficult to get on-simply because I don't have a hard plaster cast, just a long soft bandage right up my arm, it is well worth the trouble. Without this, I would be unable to bath or shower for weeks so I was very lucky to purchase the last one. When I looked for a full arm protector I was amazed that this seemed to be the only one on the market, but it is very well made, thick plastic and the suction on the end is strong, meaning you know it is safe to slide under the water without worrying about getting your bandage/plaster wet.. I highly recommend it.

This is brilliant - keeps my dressing dry so I dont have to plan my showers around just when the district nurse will arrive - in fact, back to being able to shower daily - if I have the smallest grizzle they are a bit large for me & I occasionally manage to stand on mine with my other foot - but because I know about this slight danger I think ahead to avoid any mishap.

I broke my ankle and was desperate for a shower.This gives me confidence to sit on shower seat confident that my plaster will keep dry.

Bought this for a relative who had just had foot surgery. At first glance it didn't look like it would be any good. However, they said that it was easy to get on and that it stopped any water getting in when they showered.It can get quite hot however, and there can be condensation, but this doesn't affect its use in anyway.

Works perfectly. easy to put on. it's good quality so should not tear or rupture easily. Only issue was for someone with not too long a leg is it is very long and looks like it could fit someone with a 36" inside leg. Probably need some form of band to hold up the loose length to reduce possible tripping

It looks a bit odd but it did the job. I have broken my wrist so have plaster to my elbow and the sleeve kept the plaster dry in the shower. It arrive next day so all good!
