So far so good... so what!
This amp replaces a Fender frontman 25R, and does it well. So far I have not had any sound issues as I did with the fender (once I hit volume level 4 on the fender it would crackle out and just sound choppy). On this amp, I can dime the volume on both channels and it still sounds perfect. The added feature I really like is the high gain and low gain inputs. I hear a lot of bad reviews and remarks about the little practice amps, but I'm sorry I can't afford a Mesa Boogie MK III or Marshall stack. And imho I think this little sucker holds its own.I play thrash metal and classic rock, as well as just throwing my own ideas onto the fret board. The built in dirty channel can get you close to where you want to be in most situations and has three settings that help you do this. The clean channel has some nice tones on all three settings but I prefer the "warm" setting. This amp is also pedal friendly. With the two inputs it can handle pretty much anything you put in front of it as well. My metal muff sounds clear and not cracking issues as I had when I plugged it into the fender. I can dime all the settings and not have any problems (the pedal will just sound over done).

Good Little Amp
I bought my Peavey Envoy 110 Transtube used for a practice amp that has enough power to cut it for band practices. The 40 watts and a 10" speaker is about as small as is practical and still be able to cut it against drums and amplified instruments. It has served me well both at home and for band practices. I play blues, oldies, some rock and roll and country, and I usually use the clean channel or modest settings on the pre-post gain channel for a nice raspy tube-like tone. I never use the distorton, although it works OK. The reverb is a little noisy but not that bad at the setting I use (about 4). Otherwise I am very pleased with the sound, ruggedness, and performance, and it's easy to carry around and fit in a car. The amp does what I bought it for with flying colors!

It's a Peavey, need I say more?
This a great amp. I currently live in a townhouse with pretty thin walls so I cannot "crank" this thing but it is more than loud enough to play by yourself with which is what I wanted it for anyway. I bought the optional Peavey foootswitch and the cleans and distorted tones are great. It's made by Peavey...you know it's going to be good from the name alone. Love Peavey gear, they genuinely seem to care about putting out only quality gear.

A lightweight amp that delivers
This lightweight amp gives me the tonal variety I need with very straightforward and easy to use controls. It mimics tube amp tone pretty well. I play guitar in a band without a drummer and we play smaller venues. This amp's power output does fine for those gigs and I don't wrench my back lugging it to and from. It weighs less than 25 lbs. Peavey did a good job with this amp.

Very impressed
I wasn't happy with the way my Fender Mustang II worked, Too many bells and whistles for my limited preferences, but it might work for you.). About the Peavey Envoy, I asked me guitar guru what he recommended to replace it with. He said this was it, the reviews were great and he knows his stuff. (He is a certified repairman for all major electronics (music and other) equipment. I found that the Envoy is no longer being produced, so I snapped this one up when I found it, and I am really happy. Does all I could want for small venues. It has good tone at low volume settings. I've never cranked it up so far, but I have always found Peavey reliable.

Shines at higher volumes
The only downside for this amp is the absence of an fx loop. It doesn't feel as sturdy as previous peavey transtube iterations but I've moved it around and don't feel it will be damaged anytime soon. In addition, I've left it on consistently for days/weeks at a time and it is A-OK! No noise, no problems. The sound gets much better at higher volumes. Solid state amps have the rep of sounding good at lower volumes but this amp needs to be at > 2 to shine, especially at the high gain/modern lead settings. I don't know if it's the cab design or some other factor but this amp has deep sounds. It doesn't have a thin practice amp sound - you can really feel it at higher volumes.
