Oh my gosh this is much quicker and easier than the probe types to get an accurate reading. The no touch is a bit of a faff with a 1yo so you just place it on the forehead between the eyebrows and in 2 seconds you get a reading. Saw they used Braun in the nursery where they were telling us our child had a temperature, while our previous thermometers weren't. So now we can quickly check without much drama before dropping them off in the morning. Bit pricey for what it is but, it's good quality and should last a lifetime.

Easyness of use. Good reviews. Respected manufacturer. When you have a child or new born it is really important to have acuarate temp and to know and understand if meds are working. Few degrees high or temp not going down despite the meds time for drs or hosp.

It is overall good - easy and hyper quick 3 seconds temperature check . I used to wait 3 minutes olden days so this is something strikingly attractive. However, at the beginning, it showed 5 different temperatures every time I scaled from down to upper temperatures. It got to be kept in a room temperature for at least 10 mins out of the box as per the instruction. Once followed it, it shows possibly slightly higher temperature than other thermometers as other people say so I would deduct -1 . When I started feeling good and had my appetite back, my temperature dropped so I assume it gives some indications of accuracy and reliability. It is more hygienic not touching your tongue or ear . Under arm never be comfortable and not accurate. The aaa batteries were included . Once getting used to use it , this is not bad at all. If you use it for yourself, use your mirror to see the screen . I am happy with my purchase so far . A bit more fun element there as hyper quick. It beeps when it is ready to scale and when it finishes scaling your temperature.

When I first received it, it seemed pretty good (and as my baby didn’t like the in-ear or armpit thermometers this seemed like an easier option). It seemed to give a few different readings but as they were all showing as green (no fever) I didn’t think much of it. However when this really became a problem was when my baby was poorly, and it would throw out all sorts of numbers within a short frame of time which were wildly inaccurate, even though I’d held the thermometer in the same spot! When babies have a fever, whether it is 37.4 or 39.9 makes a massive difference and I simply couldn’t trust that the reading it was giving was true. I reverted back to the other thermometers and both gave a reading of 37, which further backed up that the infrared thermometer might as well be making it up. I’ve only had it a few months and wish I could return it.Other issues include the bright flashing lights which don’t help when using it at night, and taking a while to actually take the temperature (it doesn’t remember the previous settings so you have to wait to select age group every time). Thankfully you can turn off the sound at least.Might be fine for adults (?) but don’t bother with this if you want a quick and accurate thermometer for babies.

Why did you choose this product over others?:It seems the box has been opened. But seems noy been used. I do like the inside design, well protected, not wasye material, and easy to open. quick and the result arw constant. Speed:quickQuality:great

I love the features of this thermometer. It is super quick, you get a reading in 1 second, and super easy to use, and like other Braun models, it alerts you of fever for different age ranges so you don’t have to remember what they were for each age.Also love that you can measure liquids with it, including bath water, formula, food etc!However what is a bit questionable is the accuracy. I compared the readings to other thermometers, and the Braun is always a bit lower than the others (even when compared to another infrared no touch thermometer). As you can see, there is a 0.4 difference which seems like quite a bit in my opinion (36.97, so essentially 37 in the digital and 36.6 in the Braun).When tried a second time on another adult, the digital showed 37.0, a different infrared one showed 36.9, and the Braun showed 36.7.So I concluded from those two measurements that the Braun seems to show slightly lower readings. I don’t mind a difference of 0.1, like in the other one, that sounds very reasonable and accurate, but consistently showing 0.3 and 0.4 less than other thermometers is a bit too inaccurate for me. Especially when it comes to children, therefore I returned, since my main purpose was to use this on my baby (and in babies 0.4 is a huge difference). I have chosen to keep the other one from another brand that consistently showed only a 0.1 difference.
