PHILIPS456995 LED Dimmable R20 Flood Light bulb with Warm Glow Effect

So far these are exactly the same as the smaller packages of the same bulbs that I buy at Target for higher price. I can’t actually speak to longevity as I haven’t had one burn out yet. I decided to switch to LED and tried a bunch of different bulbs until I found the kind I liked the best. This has a nice warm light, dims without weird humming, and is just a good lightbulb. I bought for each type of light fixture we have so all of the light in the house “matches”. I like that it is bright enough to work by in the kitchen but gentle enough to read in bed by (lower wattage and different bulb type in bedside lamps). These were also some of the most economical LED bulbs that I could find from a brand I was familiar with. I plan to continue using.

These lights are awesome. The key feature is that they turn to a warmer glow as you dim them just like incandescent lights. Every other dimmable LED light I have bought dims, but the color temperature does not change as you dim them. Rather, the color remains at 2700 - 3000 kelvin, which results in the lights being dim, but the room does not have that warm and inviting feel. These are the only R20 lights I will buy now and I'm planning on switching out all my existing lights.

I wanted to like these lights but on a dimmer switch, an LED dimmer switch even, I installed or upgraded the switch. They buzz so much it's madding. I love Philips lights but if you put these on a dimmer you might just hate them. Especially if you can still hear in the higher frequencies.

I'm not sure what happened to these bulbs but something changed. I've been purchasing these for the house over the past 3 years but the latest order came with bulbs that make a buzzing sound. 2 of the 4 bulbs now make a pretty loud sound. It's loud enough that you can hear the new bulbs across the room.

this bulb is tiny. I need one that is les bright like this - that fits in a standard can outlet without looking ridiculous , which this one does

I always have good luck with the quality and reliability of Philips LED lighting. I have only used these at full brightness, but in that mode I am very pleased with the quality of the light. I thought it might turn out to be too warm, but it's actually ideal. Recommended.

I love the warm glow this light gives off. It’s perfect. If you’re not a fan of the super white light then this is the bulb for you

I was so happy to find an LED that fit my dining room chandelier fixture which has a lot of bulbs in it and I was happy to be able to get LEDs to replace the others
