Peter Porker: The Spectacular Spider-Ham - The Complete Collection Vol. 1

Tried looking for a child friendly comic book this one fits well. Lots of slapstick humor appropriate and entertaining for both my younger and older child.I hope they make more in this series

Great Book, Very cartoony and goofy.

I was waiting for something like this to come out for a while for the character and I was not disappointed. Marvel made this out of the popularity of the character's appearance from Sony's Into The Spiderverse and it reminded me on why I fell in love with the character in the first place. But, I digress.The book is a beautiful the reprints of the original stories from the 16 issue Peter Porker The Spectacular Spider-Ham series from the 1980s and they were just as hilarious and adventurous as I remember. A lot of the comics combined both the best qualities of the Spider-Man lore and the Marvel mythos with the silliness and style of the Dell and Gold Key funny animal comics. The Spider-Ham stories read like a Spider-Man story set in the world of Carl Barks' Duckverse in contrast to the Looney Tunes-esque personally the theatrical and later appearances of Porker post series. I highly recommend this book to any fan of both the Spider-Man mythos and "Into The Spiderverse" if they want to see more of Spider-Ham's wacky, animal pun-filled world and adventures.I'm currently waiting for Marvel to make a volume two of his appearances in "What The--?!" and "Marvel Tales".

This book contains a comprehensive collection of Spider Ham stories and should be read by all Spider Ham fans.
