This crank radio seems to be a quality unit. The only suggestion I would make if you pick one up of these up, would be --- order some quality 18650 batteries, Panasonic or even Fenix brand. Capacity is great on them and will offer more battery life. I also had a 4 bay charger, and about a dozen 18650 batteries as I use the same type in my Flashlights. Great unit, and combine with an 18650-battery Flashlight (like the Fenix PD35 for example) and it's a pretty nice, multi-application setup.

I think of this radio as a starter for someone who hasn’t experienced many radios. I had hope for this one. I was happy with the price. The best features that I like, the presets. the replaceable 18650 and it only needs 3 AA batteries. It’s small, lightweight, and looks like it could handle a bit of rough treatment.Some features I’d like better with major improvements.. the flashlight-it’s an old school LED with a magnifying lens. It works but no high/low adjustment. The big one-the radio...a constant hum on AM unless you turn the volume up to drown it out. Not so good reception on AM and weather band. You can hear both but not very clearly. I didn’t try FM. Not sure about solar or the crank. You cannot be sure until you give it a listen. In my case i’m going to request a return.

This is a great little weather radio. It's easy to tune and very user friendly. The sound is good for a little speaker. You wouldn't have a party with it. I really like the size. It fits in my hand. I keep it on a sunny windowsill so the light keeps the battery from draining. There's also the option of using AAA batteries. We have occasional power outages due to storms and it's good to have weather alerts and radio news.

I needed to upgrade my weather radio to a digital tuner. I wanted one that takes standard batteries. It's not stereo but sounds good. The tuner is picks up alot of station's indoor. The flashlight is a bright beam. The radio is durable with the rubberized exterior it sits flat, so it could not rollover easy. The preset does not work as described in the manual. It presets only on FM. The AM and weather band will not preset. Got what I needed I hope it lasts.

I would have given it 5 stars if it was a little bit smaller but it works really good I have not tested to see if it is waterproof or not if you are planning on just using around the house or in a car it would be good but for backpacking no it's just too big

I have used this a ton this summer. It's helped me when I had no cell signal in the middle of nowhere, when I was camping, and when I was in the mountains in Colorado. It's never let me down.

This was the second one of these radios that I purchased.The first one works perfectly and we are very happy with it.This one arrived from Amazon packed in a WET box full of canned grocery goods.Obviously,,, not a very smart way to ship a radio.Tried to use it, but it wouldn't play properly with nothing but static.Probably would have been another good radio except for what it encountered during shipping.Returned for credit.
