Q: Is this meant to flash every time you take a toke on it?

It will light up when you hold the fire button to vape on the device to show it is working, but if it's flashing and no vapour is being produced then there might an issue like the coil not being screwed in securely enough, or the tank section may not be making sufficient contact to the body of the device, in this case the light(s) will flash to show that there is an issue.

Q: how often do you need to change the coil?

Personally I like to change the coil every 10 days or so. The vape flavours start to taste burnt to me after that although you can go 2-3 weeks. The coils cost around £8 for a pack of five
