Prestige APS997Z Two-Way LCD Confirming Remote Start & Alarm 1-Mile Range

First time installing an official remote start system, i had installed a viper security and keyless entry system in an mr2 and made my own remote engine start with the aux output options. I set this system on a 01 is300, was a little bit of a pain because of the factory lock/unlock not being a basic ' negative input/output ' but it works, and it helped alot that this system had 2 set of lock/unlock outputs wires. I found a better, much more informative manual online which help figure out specifically what each wire does and also a guide to program all the available options. Also i setup a push button start for my car. For someone who knows their way with electricals, this is kind of a god mode system with options 😅 Mainly got this system because my friend randomly bought this one for his car, and asked me to instal it, and i just couldn't help myself but get one as well. Definently a great buy! Edit - I've bought and installed 5 of these now, still a great kit, sadly only done one vehicle with remote start (my is300) but it still doing an amazing job, haven't had any issues. Setup with a push button kit. The power locking sometimes gets stuck, so if anyone has an IS300 or lexus with the complex lock/unlock system, you'll have to improvise a bit and make sure you have the keys to unlock incase something goes wrong

I've never had an issue with replacement with amazon before. I bought the product in advance. It arrived before my car did and ended up being defective when it came time to install. All I wanted was a replacement remote as I had heard so much good things but there was never any response to my query.......waste of my money.

I bought this an had it installed. It works great and the functions are phenomenal especially the remote start from distance which I use regularly to cool down my vehicle before I leave work on a hot day. Or to rizz up the ladies while walking towards the vehicle. However I won't give it 5 stars cause all this was from trial and error and in 2026 in a morden age of technology there should me more videos and or manuals on setup and use of this product.

***3 year follow-up*** Well, 3 years later, I still love the alarm/remote start. The Remote start still works great and the alarm still works great. I still don't bother with the programming of the fob, because of it needing to be redone every time the battery is changed. It's a 2 way remote, so battery life is about 3 months, a standard car alarm battery will last about a year. I've had no failures with the system. I did break the keyring loop on my remote. You need to have this on its own keyring, and then, that keyring on your Keychain, I didn't do that, causing the case to break from pressure when I had my keys in my pocket, I was the cause. Original review; It is pretty difficult to install and takes time to figure out your vehicles wiring harness. This thing works as expected and is very nice to have. I own a diesel truck and use this to warm it up in the morning. I have no complaints about function at all. In fact, I love this thing. Why 3 stars? The two way remote only works on car#2, if I try to use it on car #1, it only unlocks the truck nothing else works. Programming features of the remote is a total PITA, especially since you'll have to do it every time you replace the battery. **UPDATE** I finally got the 2way remote to work on"car 1". I still think programming the remote is a pita. The remote start is still working great and I'm glad I have this system.
