Slice 10560 3" Extra Long Insulation Foam Tool, Designed for Foam Cutting, Finger Friendly, Ceramic Blade, Automatically Retracts

I purchased the automatic because the manual was not available for single order. I used it to cut up foam mattresses and it worked like a charm. I did end up cutting the spring as suggested by a previous reviewer because it was hard to hold it in place for long periods. The hack worked wonderfully.

This tool is amazing! For years I have used a box cutter or long steel insulation knife; NO MORE! This cuts through insulation super clean and quick. The blade also does not present a cutting hazard to your hands as well! This knife is the greatest!

I bought this to cut sheets of 10mm EVA foam. It does not do that. it just tears it. I used a sharp ceramic pocket knife I had instead, and it made much cleaner cuts. Hardly cuts cardboard either.Also you have to constantly hold a spring to keep the blade from snapping back in. I suppose that was supposed to be a feature but its really weird. That is my bad for not realizing that part.

I'm fairly prone to cut my fingers while building projects, but it looks like that will happen less with this knife. I tried the "draw across your finger" test, and nothing no cut. And it zips through EVA foam. Do be careful of chips in the blade or if it snaps... those could cut you.

This knife made the job much easier. Tried other regular knives, even more expensive ones sold at local hardware stores. The Slice knife is in a class by itself. I liked that it was a safe blade that cut through insulation without drag or gumming up. Great purchase!

The media could not be loaded.  i don’t usually write reviews but i thought i maybe should for this one. in the videos and photos i was comparing the knife to a box knife i was using for my project before. the reason i was looking to buy knew knifes was because i kept finding problems with how short box knifes are so the whole appeal was how long the blade was for this knife. and the knife is long! it would work out perfectly for what i want HOWEVER!! it simply isn’t that sharp. the duller safer blade chews the installation foam and i am unable to carve a cohesive shape with how much the blade struggles. i’m thinking if there was a razor blade alternative this would be a perfect knife for what i need.a lot of my pros go towards how nice this knife is to hold, it is very comfortable which is something i think is hard to find since my hands are kind of small. you can also change the direction of the blade easily which is cool! i didn’t have any problems with keeping the blade locked in place like some people did. over all it’s a very nice blade but i would prefer a razor blade over the safety blade.

Blade does not stay out no way to make it stay out . Garbage

I suspiciously purchased for a whole house insulation install. Lots of cutting and this knife is awesome. Cuts insulation (fiberglass side up) like butter. Hasn't dulled but still won't cause you to cut yourself while working with it. Price is a little high but it's worth it if you need to cut A lot of insulation.

Super cutter, très pratique, je suis formateur en sécurité et j'en suis content.Par contre, s'use rapidement suivant les matières que l'on coupe.Ne coupe pas la peau c'est bluffant

Le cutter en lui même fait qualitatif, on sent que la matière n'a pas été prise au rabais.Je n'en ai pris qu'un pour un essai en industrie,Le retour des opérateurs est le suivant :Le cutter ne coupe pas droit (car la lame n'est pas symétrique) et il coupe moins bien qu'un cutter standars.Ce cutter ne seras donc pas utilisé chez nous essentiellement car il coupe de "travers" et que nous utilisons les cutters pour façonné des produits finis.Ceci étant, il peux être utilisé en logistique où il n'est pas nécessaire d'être précis.
