No more sloppy shifter
Had to replace the OEM ones as they were on the car since new. This helped get rid of all the slop in my shifting. Easy to install and quality looks great.

Good kit
Relatively easy to install. Big improvement in shift feel. Not a short throw kit by any means, but it does take away the gummy bears somewhere in the linkage feel of the stock setup.

Fit Perfectly in 2003 Subaru Baja
I don't know what everyone else is complaining about, with a little finesse, it took about 10 minutes to install the rear bushing. Maybe all the shade was affecting the others trying to install these bushings!! The front is so easy it's not worth mentioning. I worked it from inside the car (2003 Subaru Baja) and it fit like a glove. Made a significant difference in removing the slop and tightening up the shifting. IF you want to clean up your shifting, you need to replace all the bushings.

Install the same time you are replacing the shift linkage on a Subaru
If you have a manual Subaru eventually the shifter linkage bushing will wear out and you will have a lot of shifter slip. This does NOT fix that! 95% of that slip is from the linkage. That being said, if you are going to be in there anyway, you might as well replace the old rubber bushings with these upgraded ones. They are cheap and did sharpen up the shifter feel as well. If you are going to be in there anyway, these are cheap and you obviously care about shifter feel.Couple of tips when installing. It can be done only from the bottom if you are careful. Remove the heat shield and it will be a lot easier. It is only 4 bolts and rotates right out (on my car at least). They give you a plenty of grease, use the whole thing. Particularly the center hole in the back bushing. They aren’t going to refund you half a thing of grease. When moving the shifter around, I accidentally popped off the rubber skirt that seals the shifter from the top (to prevent water ingress from the bottom). I had to remove the interior trim to access the spot to put it back on. I didn’t trust myself pulling it from the bottom without tearing it.I wish I had done that earlier and just removed the whole linkage from the top. I would have still needed to punch out the roll pins and unbolted the front bushing from underneath but the rest would be a lot easier. I could have removed and replaced broken linkage on a workbench instead of under the car.I guess I am saying, don’t be scared of taking the trim off, you probably needed to clean out your console anyway. My car did not have a return spring on the metal plate that goes over the front bushing. I don’t know if there was a design revision which doesn’t require it now but a lot of videos show it and mine either fell off or was never present. It seems to return to center fine though. 🤷♂️This is one of those jobs that takes 4 hours the first time and 1 hour the second.

Fits
Installation wasn’t too bad and product fits snug.

Product itself is easy to install, will not fix shifter slop
The product itself is well made and easy to fit. I especially like that the front bushing is in two pieces. If you're doing this on an '04 Forester though, good luck! I spent HOURS trying to get the stinkin C-clip reinstalled while under my car. Total pain. Also be aware this product WILL NOT fix slop in your shifter. You're going to need new linkage for that.
