Great Underwater Camera
I bought this camera as a permenant underwater camera, not realizing it was designed for land use. The only issue with using it underwater is that the focus is a little further back that I would like. I have it mounted under my dock and use a Powerline Adapter to run the ethernet to my router. The camera itself is solid. I did have a problem with electrolysis as I am on a saltwater canal. Luckily, it corroded the stainles steel screws which are easy to replace. I have the unit mounted to a zinc purched from West Marine, so I should be good going forward. The phone app is amazing. I can be at work and see the fish under my dock. The PC interface is ok. I wanted to make a permenant view to my main TV with a dedicated HDMI input. The only problem is that when you turn off the TV, the screen minimized, and you need to go back to the CMS software to go to "View Full" each time you turn off the TV. Very annoying, but I purchased a tiny box called "DR HDMI", which fools the PC to thinking that the HDMI connection is always on.I wish I would have purchased underwater version, where LED lights go on at night, and the focus is closer. I have had it for a few months, and everything seems fine. I have the ethernet connection along with A/C adapter, and the Powerline adapter in a large grey plastic electric box mounted to a 2x4 on the dock. The attached picture is low quality, It looks much better on the TV
