my new keyboard was taking up too much room on the shelf and it left very little room for the mouse. i got this just because of that and i am glad i did! so far it has been great! and the squishy wrist rest is super comfy!!the only con i have about this product is that i wish the end where the mouse sits was a bit thicker/sturdier. when i first attached it i would put my hand on it as i was getting up, luckily i would catch my self before i put too much weight on it and broke it off. i have now gotten use to not doing that when i get up but i will admit it was a bit difficult at first.that being said i would recommend this to anyone that needs some extra space or just wants to have their mouse closer to them and off the desk. its really great and would buy again!Edit: just wanted you all to know i did NOT pay $40 nor would i pay that for a second one. i got mine for a lil over half that price. if it were a thicker plastic and more sturdy then yea maybe 40 bux would be fair.

So far so good and still working on my chair, although the cushion for wrist rest came off but I just glue it back on and work.

This isn't to say a regular mouse wouldn't work with this product but I use a trackball exclusively and this thing is awesome. Instead of reaching forward to grab my mouse every time I need to use it I just put my hand down and it's right there. I work behind a desk 8 hrs a day and try everything/utilize any product to feel more comfortable doing so, because for those who do the same thing, you know how your body feels most of the time. This is one of my favorite products. It'll attach to any chair and if the Velcro straps aren't big enough it comes with MASSIVE zip ties that'll fit around anything. The wrist support is comfortable and the padding on the elbow area is just right. I'd recommend to anyone especially if you have any shoulder/arm pain, it significantly reduces the need to reach all day! (I'm no doctor this is just my experience)

I wanted to love this thing, I really did. I've actually made things like this for chairs I've owned in the past and while they didn't look quite so finished as this, they were a whole lot more functional.First off, let me say that my chair is sort of funky. The armrests aren't flat and are rather thin. They also adjust in two axis so they have a little play in them. Those things let down my experience with the armrest through no fault of it's own. So we won't count those against it.For starters, you're never gonna have much success with hook and loop fasteners. They just don't get tight enough and there's nowhere for them to anchor to. Wherever you put your arm, the rest leans that way. Stay in one place too long and the rest tries to stay in that spot, tilted left or right. After you correct it a few times, or, for that matter, just use it for a few days, the straps get loose and have to be reset. And all that still applies if you use the zip ties. There's just no solid connection between the armrest and the armrest/mouse pad. Cinch all you want. You're gonna get movement. I've broken 3 zip-ties trying to get this thing to stay in one place. I've also modified or added mounting points and that helps but two or three screws right into the bottom of the armrest/mousepad would be the tidiest as well as the most direct solution. No straps or zip ties to make your chair look like a weekend project in an old Radio Shack back room. And I may go that way myself if none of my other ideas pan out.Right on day one, the wrist rest fell off. It looks like they used plenty of glue but whatever they used didn't bond well with whatever they make the wrist rest out of. There's no glue residue on it at all which means it plain didn't stick. There was plenty of residue on the main board, however. It took several rounds of Goo Gone to clean up that area and that's after scraping for a bit first.The mouse pad. The main reason for this thing to exist. And it's...ok. There's almost nothing wrong with it. It's functional bbut nothing special. What would make it special is if the rest of the package were great. If everything else was awesome, the mouse pad would seem so as well. Except for the one problem. The mouse pad is flat from edge to edge. There's nothing to stop the mouse from sailing right off the sides or front of the pad straight onto the floor. And that's going to happen, what with all the movement you're getting right to left and up/down movement is exaggerated way out on the front. Take your hand off the mouse to type(you do it all the time), and off she goes! I, personally, like nice, quality mice built to superior standards with high quality materials. But I don't know how long my expensive mouse is going to last taking a trip to the deck a couple of times a day(at least!). And I didn't want to find out so I got some plastic sheet material and cut a strip that I then screwed to the sides of the mouse pad. Now my mouse has a fenced-in yard. That helps tremendously. But it should have been built that way. And that about sums it up for this whole unit. I've already modified it quite a bit and I'm not done yet. But for what it costs, everything I am doing or have done should already be part of the design. Instead, you get a half-done idea that literally looks half-done with all it's zip ties and straps hanging everywhere and the smell of fresh glue in the air.I will not, I'm afraid, be buying another one of these. I'll build my own. It'll be cheaper and it might just work.

The Velcro straps are not long enough to go around any armrest, so you'll have to modify and buy your own Velcro. Ours was sent in a torn, previously opened box, missing the clamp piece to attach to a desk (which you would have to do as the Velcro will not fit on your chair). The wrist pad is dirty with someone else's filth, obviously a junky return that they tried to resell. Crummy business practices and garbage product.DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Allowed me to sit back in my desk chair and avoid shoulder/neck cramps I had previously.

It was a bit awkward to install at first, but I got the hang of it. I loved the overall use of it though. It was working perfectly for me. Not wobbling around or anything… then I got a new chair. Unfortunately it didn’t fit the second chair, even with the reasonably sized zip-ties it came with. The arms were just too thick overall, so just be ready for that as a possibility.Definitely worth it if it fits though! If I could get one large enough for the new chair, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
