Vim Tools VHC77 '77-Piece' Half Cut Stubby Bit Set, 3.17-ukgja-985

Picture compares my slimmest 1/4 ratchet with stubby T30 to the bit set ratchet and stubby T30 bit. I work as a Porsche Tech and this bit set is a god send for tight areas. The stubby bits and the little ratchet have saved my butt multiple times when I have no space for a 1/4 ratchet. I’ve also put quite a bit of torque on the ratchet and it’s never once failed me. Literally half the cost as truck brands and twice the amount of bits. Can’t recommend this tool enough for anyone that works on German cars. Edit: one year later this set is still one of my most used/favorite sets in my toolbox. All the bits and ratchet are holding up great.

fairly robust ratchet, very strong bits. i bought it very specifically for the bottom rear 5mm hex bolt that holds the actuator onto he351ve turbos on 13-18 dodges with the Cummins, when i was doing at least one a week of those. it works well for that. i bought this in 2018 for 85 dollars. I'm unsure it's worth 120 now......but it does work really well.

Short bits are amazing for tight spaces

I'll start by saying this set is not for breaking bolts loose or high torque. With that being said I have yet to break or strip a bit. Many times I've been in the field working and while doing a task I kick myself for not bringing this set. I now do not leave for a job without it. I have yet to need a bit that was not in here and this is one of the only kits that goes up to 10mm and 3/8'' hex. I have purchased 2 and going to purchase a 3rd for our shared job box. A couple of bits sometimes come loose in the case when being bounced through TSA, but I recommend this set to everyone! I will update with my cheap solution to keeping the bits in place when I snap a picture.

These were recommended as a tool for a particular automobile repair, and I bought them in hopes that they would work and they absolutely performed as advertised

I'm a motorcycle technician and I was recommended this set by other tech. I finally pull the trigger as I been satisfied by the few VIM tools I already own as they are good quality. When I got the set I was surprised how short the bits were and the quality. I'd say the metal they us for the bits are as good as Snap On. The bit set is 1/4 and 5/16 drive for the larger bits, which fits in the wrench that comes in the kit. The bit holds in the wrench by a spring clip so you don't drop it somewhere you can't find it and it has a hole on top so you can push the bit out. If you do any work in tight area, this set is an absolute must have. You will not regret it.

These half cut bits installed in the included driver make the total height slightly less than half the height of the sunex bit driver set. Also, the bits are of noticeably better quality and this ratchet is my go-to thanks to the fine teeth and thumbwheel. I really appreciate this set including everything (and then some). The sunex set for example doesnt have metric hex bits which imo is essential for mechanics. Sometimes a full length bit is better so i still have some cheaper bits until vim makes a regular bit set. Insta-buy.
