Weego 66.2 has switched to cheaper components
Based on a Wirecutter review, I bought two of these Weego 66.2 jump starters within a two week period as xmas gifts for family members.Both jump starters failed to jump start a Toyota Land Cruiser with a 4.7 liter gas engine and a recently discharged, yet not entirely dead, battery.Returning these units to ESB Warehouse, the seller, was like an episode of Candid Camera or Punk'd. It was like dealing with the politburo. They tried to play games and deny a valid return. Fortunately Amazon stepped-in and swiftly resolved the matter in my favor.Here's a cut and paste of the problem description I wrote to Weego:1. I fully charged the Weego power pack for three hours to 100%. Charged inside the house at 71F ambient temperature. The blue charge status lights progressed from the last one flashing to all five solid.2. Kept the power pack inside the house for several hours at 71F, until first use.3. Brought the power pack outside to the vehicle in my driveway.4. Ensured the engine was completely off, and verified that all vehicle electronics were off.5. Securely connected the Weego clamps to Weego power pack.6. Powered-on Weego power pack.7. Attached Weego black clamp to battery’s negative terminal, then red clamp to positive terminal.8. Ensured clamps had a good connection. Battery terminals were clean and free of corrosion.9. Weego clamp light was flashing green.10. Attempted to start engine, but engine did not start. The engine turned over one time and then would not turnover any more.11. Retried a few times, but the engine did not turn over and did not start.12. Repeated these same steps with the 2nd Weego 66.2 jump starter with the same results. It did not start the engine.13. Repeated these steps with a Gooloo GP4000 car jump starter, and the engine started quickly.14. Shortly thereafter, recharged the vehicle’s battery, and the engine starts properly now.Anyway, I first became aware of the Gooloo after seeing real world tests of competing products on the Project Farm youtube channel.Most of the products in this space, including the Gooloo, have the usual tone deaf names that basically say "hello here's more crap from China" with the attendant worries about stolen intellectual property, cheap internal components, poor performance, and substandard reliability.The case, clamps, and waterproofing of the Weego are noticeably better than the Gooloo. But the Gooloo has the advantage of apparently higher quality internal components that actually start vehicles.It appears Weego may have switched to lower quality / lower cost internal components. This may be why some initial reviews were positive.The premium product in this space appears to be the more expensive Antigravity Batteries XP-10-HD. I have not yet tried it, but if the Gooloo ever fails, I'll try that next.

Unbelievable Starting Power and not "Heavy"
I first saw this brand on a farming show (RFD-TV) and the guy was starting diesel trucks, and he was holding in in one hand and not heavy al all. I purchased two as I have 29 trucks, mostly vans, diesel and even with a DEAD battery it starts them straightaway. There is a feature that tells you if the connection is correct... my wife works in the business and has always been hesitant to use a "jump starter", but she jumps vehicles now with no fear.My plan is to bring aboard my personal aircraft for emergency power, if alternator dies. Haven't tried that yet, but if it works that would be spectacular safety plus.My model weights about 9#! Incredible as my other "jump box" for the diesels is easily 45# or more...

Reliability.
I have one Weego 44 jump starter, two Weego 66 and two Weego 66.1 jumpstarters. In addition one 5200 and two 10400 battery packs.. The 44 is super for our 4 cyl. Jeep, the 66 and 66.1 are great for our other vehicle. One is keptas a spare to help any one in need. The Battery Packs were used during very serious inclement weather, power outage, and kept cell phones and battery hand warmers fully charge and for re-charges. All have my 6 star raring. No problems of any kind.

surprised and pleased
this thing had been sitting in my cars trunk all this year w/o a top-up recharge. accidentally flicked my high-beams on while exiting my car at the hospital this morning, and got back tonight to a car that wouldn't turn over. REALLY not looking forward to trying to ask a stranger for a jump start in the middle of a pandemic, i rummaged in my trunk and found this little guy. despite not having looked at it since i tossed it in my trunk, it claimed to be fully charged-- i hooked it up, three seconds later the indicator flashes green, and my car started right up. total life-saver.

Time will tell
I have not had a chance to use this product yet, I bought it mostly for my boat, it came highly suggested by boats US &tow boats I love the flash light &the SOS BUT I don't see any USCG approval, that being said over time I've had several battery jumpers and not been impressed, they let you down when you need them most, I'm hopeful that WEEGO WITH ITS NEW BATTERY TECHNOLOGY WILL GO THE DISTANCE, give it five years,I'm hopeful

I excitedly tried to use this on my father-in-laws Acura - NOTHING !I later tried to jump my Harley with a weak battery - NOTHING !I, under warranty, contacted the company. They said maybe the cables were bad. Never heard back from them.All this has been to me is a VERY expensive flashlight !!!

Convenient easy to use jump box
The WEEGO 66.1 Jump Starting Power Pack is easy to use and very convenient to carry. Everything fits together in a heavy duty carry case and the attachment clamps are heavy duty. There's no danger of hooking the power pack up backwards, and it will charge anything that uses 12V power. I plugged it in and charged it up in about 3 hours, used it the next day to jump my tractor off when the battery was too low to turn the motor over. Completely satisfied and would recommend the product to anyone that owns a vehicle.

Weego 66.1 the answer to being stranded!
The Weego 66.1 is light way, compact, and powerful. It stows easily in the vehicle and is ready when you need it. Start your vehicle when your battery is low due to weather or leaving something electrical on. I like how I can uses it to charge my iPad, iPhone, or EarBuds. The price was right to insure my peace of mind that I won’t be stranded in the middle nowhere with a dead battery. As an off-roader the Weego was a better option than installing an additional battery and running a two battery system. The Weego 66.1 was the only choice!
