Can this be worn without the straps?

I stick the straps under my bra..as long as your not working out, it should stay up. I did it today so I could wear a tank top.

Do you have a stage 2 garment with hooks in front?

Yes which made it easier to use the restroom without pulling it down everytime

What’s the material made of?

Not 100% sure, but the suit reminds me of Spanx. Tight at first, but loosens over time. I comfortably wore mine for 4 months, although it would be hot during the summer months.
