Fabulous product and very easy to use
I trawled through lots of reviews before purchasing the Osmo Polyx Oil Semi-Matt. As others have said, if you follow the instructions, it goes on really well without clouding the surface. I used it over a Littlefair's floor stain (Modern Oak on pine floorboards) and chose semi-matt as didn't want a completely dull floor. The sheen is very subtle, but looks good nonetheless. To avoid having to clean a brush I applied with a clean microfibre cloth and this worked brilliantly. It got easier as the cloth became more steeped in the oil - you need just enough so it glides over the surface - so I kept it in an airtight bag overnight for the second coat. The odour is quite strong and takes a while to dissipate but it's not unpleasant (reminded me of oil paint/art studios). The oil was a bit of an outlay but it goes a long way and I'll have enough for several rooms. The cost of prep, stain and oil compares favourably to carpeting and, in my opinion, looks far better.

Countertop finish
Good stuff. Like the matt satin finish

Quality product but expensive.
Apart from being very expensive, this is the best floor protection you can get. Brush strokes disappear as it dries.

Great product, slow drying
After using various oils on my kitchen worktops, I was always disappointed with their water resistance. I found that I was ready oiling them every couple of weeks. I tried osmo on recommendation, and found it to be far superior to any other treatments. It repels liquids brilliantly. I applied one coat on worktops that had previously been oiled, The instructions say 24hour drying time. It actually took about 3 days in unheated kitchen, to fully dry out. As it was drying it looks very uneven, and rather disappointing, but when fully dry, it leaves a lovely satin finish, (depending on which finish you choose) I thoroughly recommend this product

Brilliant product
Brilliant. Brought my bannisters up lovely looking brand new. Be wary not to let the air into the can as it’ll create a thick film but it’s still usable. Is a bit of a pain to get the lid back on

Habe meinen Boden der neue Wohnung (90m2) damit geölt. Sieht super aus, ist natürlich und riecht ganz gut. Hatte auch schon 2 Partys - einmal feucht gewischt und der Boden sieht wieder Top aus. Gerne wieder!
