Interfit Strobies Sony/Minolta to standard Hotshoe Adapter Sync Jack

This product simply does not fit the Sony Alpha shoe. The push button release that you can see in the picture as the protruding object gets stuck, so even if it did fit it wouldn't lock into place. Do not purchase this item, it won't fit.

Unfortunately, I got this Interfit adapter STR114, though not from Amazon.As another reviewer here indicated, it is simply USELESS: its Sony-Minolta side (shoe) engages but does NOT slide all the way on the camera’s hotshoe… and thus its pins never have a chance to estalish a proper contact with their corresponding counterparts on the camera’s hotshoe.At the MAX (and that by strongly, but safely) pushing it on the hotshoe of a A55, it slides in only about 75% of the way. On a A77, it slides a mere 25% of the way. Truly useless JUNK! Deserves a “ZERO” star.For Interfit, to offer, package, and advertise this item as an accessory that fits Sony/Minolta cameras is a plain misrepresentation of the facts![Although from a practical point of view this is irrelevant, its “Standard ISO 518-2006” side/shoe fits normally well on a standard flash gun (Nikon, Canon, etc).]Conclusion: Unless you love collecting useless, defective photo widgets and gadgets, don’t waste your money on this Interfit item.
